a totally botched summary of this is that >brain chemicals aka "feels" are made by gut bacteria >cravings for food/substances come from these little fellas inside you >refusing to give them what they want causes them to release bad vibes >the literal culture down there is based on what you've been eating your whole life >ie eating junk food creates a village of "junk food" bacterias who make you crave that trash >trying to give up junk food makes these little dudes pump out brain chems that make you crave said junk food >letting those morons die out, and feeding yourself with healthy ballanced diet results in a healthy ballanced brain and generalized "good vibes"
You can shorten it by dousing them with antibiotics first.
Also they're not the only cause for those "feels". The brain gets REALLY set into routines, not just the body.
Also prebiotics aka fiber is important. Also iodine.

If you consume kefir regularly you should absolutely make it yourself. It's super easy and much superior in flavor and you can control how it tastes too more or less tart thicker or thinner, etc. Also far cheaper, since you get roughly a gallon of kefir for the cost of a gallon of milk, and at least where I am one of those bottles of kefir costs as much or more than a gallon of whole milk.
I've been drinking kefir every day for a while. It's the only cow dairy which actually reduces acne - which is why I take it. I've tried a few different brands and about a dozen different flavors. My favorites are Lifeway Black Cherry (hard to find - only found it at Spouts), Lifeway Coconut Honey (easy to find), and 365 Raspberry (Whole Foods brand).
I've also tried goat milk kefir since goat milk is supposed to be good for acne and not as problematic for people with lactose intolerance - which I suspect I have since regular cow dairy gives me really bad gas. But I don't like it. Goat dairy makes me gag.
I also use kefir as the mixing agent for my smoothies quite often.
Gut bacteria might influence depression, and this is how

Drink kefir you slovenly little oaf
You are (gut bacteria) what you eat.
It says (you) are amazing
It says never take out loans, always pay cash.
That's why you stop eating for a few days, take some antibiotics, and break your fast after with some fermented foods

I like this stuff too. Blueberry or unsweetened original whole fat for me.
it's quite expensive, so i usually don't go for it, but i get the unsweetened stuff also. looking into making some myself.

I mix in granola, raisins, and peanuts and eat that fit breakfast. Good stuff.
I read that this brand is pasteurized and therefore not legit kefir. Is this true? I love picrel, it's the only brand I can find.
nah its solid
not real kefir
they dont use kefir cultures
I would recommend ordering grains online and making your own.
>cant buy kefir in japan
I take pic related and put some salt and garlic powder and it makes the best dip. I put it in my sandwiches and chips, super good, highly recommended
Have to try that out. Sounds amazing.
Yeah labneh is good, I make it a lot when I make yogurt or kefir. Did the same thing with some garlic and herbs, made a delicious dip.
