I took a Testosterone blood test for the first time in my life.

Can somebody here tell me if this is a good level? According to my hospital it's ABOVE the standard range but I also read on IST that anything below 800 is considered shit. So i'm confused.

Thanks in advance.

700 is a very good level. Most people should go by how they feel, if you feel great and have a good muscular composition at even like 400ng/dl there's no problem there. I was at 539 last time I had mine checked

      >700 is a very good level
That's good news. But I don't feel high range at all. I look DYEL and haven't reach 4-3-2-1 lifts yet. I always thought I was low T because of chronic fatigue, low modds, etc. Which is why I took the test in the first place.

Well, at least I know it's not the ROOT of my problems.

those are really great levels. people on trt aim for that range. you will not see any improvements with higher test levels unless you are full on roiding

good thing you acknowledged it yourself. i was gonna say that if u got it tested because of low t copium then at least now you know its because of your shit training, eating and sleeping. time to take personal accountability and just man the frick up and admit your failure instead of trying to find excuses elsewhere. you also could have incredible warped idea of what type of physique and strength levels you should achieve in x time frame because people lie on the internet and most people making 1-2 year transformations are on large amounts of gear.

Free testosterone is what matters, total is much less important

yes and no, if someone has 700 total the free is gonna be irrelevant. now someone that has 250-300 total test, if his SHBG is high then the free test could be low enough to get on TRT and see benefits. OP's free test even with high SHBG will be above average.

People overestimate how much fluctuations in the normal range are going to impact your lifts and physique. People with test way lower than you have good gains, if you can't hit 1/2/3/4 and look like shit it's probably your training and diet

Every loser on IST thinks that being "low t" is the cause of their life's problems when their t level is perfectly healthy.
The think the football Chad who has all the women is "high T" even though Chad might have a lower T than Anon does.
Differences in T level between one man to the next mean frick all. That's why there is such a broad normal range.

240!!!??? They fricking lowered it again!? 240 is abysmal. Lets not address the problem, lets lower the standards. Disgusting.

So if a man has 250 would they not prescribe him T therapy? That's kinda fricked up.

Essentially yes. If you have abysmal levels you have to start shopping around for sports doctors and even then it's a coin flip whether they'll help. Not a surprise the medical auhtorities are doing this, it's a lot of tgeir products that are ruining people's test to begin with.

Are you talking about SSRI's? I know they can frick people's T levels in the long run.

A combination of SSRIs and Abilify completely tanked my total test to 160ng/dL and gave me osteoporosis in my early thirties. Would not recommend.

        Is there symptoms of hypogondism?
If not, then there's nothing wrong with test level of 250.

I've heard that before. I told my Dr I wanted lab work for testosterone and he ordered a bunch of blood tests that have nothing to do with test. So maybe the free T one result is still being worked on.

I haven't busted a nut in over 3 weeks. But I doubt that has much to do with my level lol. 970 is pretty high tho, congrats

706 is solid. The range is 300 - 1000 at least here in Australia.
It also depends on your age, I'm 40 and my test is 970. But I don't drink alcohol or weed and train 5 days a week.
When I was in my early 30's I was an alcoholic and smoked weed everyday and my test blood work came in at 340 so it makes a massive difference.

This is all true, I always thought my lack of gains were due to low T. I guess I can't make that excuse anymore. No more excuses!

Yeah alcohol fricks everything up. 970 in your 40s is great, you might not even need TRT in your 50s/60s. Congrats

You're lack of gains might just be unrealistic expectations.
        Nattys dont make gains lol.
That's roiders arent trying to get their test levels to the 900 range. A beginner cycle should get you into the 3000ish or more range.

Anything below 400ng/dl is actually terrible.

Yeah that’s standard if you’re like 90+ years old

My test levels are 300 ng/dl.
Do not smoke, drink or do drugs, just skinny as frick. ( 6 feet and 4 inches tall, 160 lbs )
Feel like shit and have no energy to do shit.
Doctor will put me on 15o mg/week.
I hope it will make me feel better and will be able to make some gains.

Post your free test or SHBG, total test doesn't mean much
