Here in Denmark it's illegal to sell it in stores but it's legal to buy it fresh at a farm, and the farm may only sell 70 liters per week. In Australia it's illegal to sell, period. Either way, it's not illegal like cocaine. It's produced en-masse and by its nature not tightly controlled. A cow may give 0l, 30l or any amount in-between on any given day. Whether or not it's illegal depends entirely on enforcement. If you [get to] know a farmer and pay him $1/liter every now and again, nobody is going to catch you. You're buying a rounding error worth of milk.
