Ring pushups can be easily regressed, just use a more vertical torso angle to reduce the load, and over time you can move to a more horizontal torso angle to increase the load.

You don't know how many reps you can get if you've never gone to failure. But you don't need a spotter to safely fail bench, people are just stupid pussies.

I have done this the first time I failed, but I couldn't pick the bar back up in a curl to put it back on the bench. Had to have someone help me remove the weights.
