The most socializing you're forced to do is to say hi to the reception desk on the way in and wave on the way out. If they even acknowledge your presence. You're just looking for reasons not to improve.
It's just you and the program. Nobody else matters.
The worst that's gonna happen is getting formed checked if your doing a lift abhorrently. research a good program and watch videos on how to do them properly. No one's gonna bug you if you're doing something without perfect form, just don't be moronic.
If you're not actively seeking out socialization then you won't have to. Most you'll get is a how many sets you got and maybe a form correction if you're doing something with horrendous form. I went to the gym for years and outside those situations I mentioned had 0 conversations with anyone.
I'm in the same ship, I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and go to any random gym that's close by but the only thing that worries me is If I frick up myself with bad form, in my current state I cannot even do fricking push-ups correctly.
I was nervous when I first started hitting the gym too. I signed up for some training to help me set a plan and work on my form. If you're a guy, the only socialization you'll get is "are you using that?".
>don't use clips >learn how to roll the weight forward >problem solved
or >drag bench to rack >set up safties >no one will care because no one will be there
Just go and walk on a treadmill. Just get into a routine of going and getting comfortable with the new setting. You don't have to lift just get used to the gym and where the equipment is that you want to use.
as long as you're not somehow signing up to some small independent free weights only gym that only roiders go to, you'll be fine
nobody will bother you at a 24/7 chain gym, there are dyels and fatties by the dozen
What are you anxious about? Doing lifts wrong, just being there in general, or something else?
Having to socialize with other people.
