My 1rm bench is 265lbs and I remember doing lmao2pl8 for reps at my gym while the guy next to me is doing 1pl8 and he's got this fricking barrel chest and mine looks like shit. I will say though it doesn't stop you from being strong just fricks your look up for life but everyone has their cross to bear
