Well I lost weight but still had bad posture. All I did after that was consciously straighten my pelvis when standing. The rest of the spine and shoulders followed suit.
yeah I understand having a bit of a sloping posture, but to the extent that you gain inches of height? you need to have orc levels of horrible posture for that
Bade resting posture is just that.
Imagine you had to hold you muscles under tension to look normal, and you can understand how people give up on correction.

Lifetime of sitting and inactivity, playing video games etc. The thoracic spine gets stiff. You can't just "stand up straight". Stop giving this stupid advice to people. They need actual exercises.
I fixed my posture and one of my friends asked if I got taller.
How'd you do it.
gay yoga

just take a walk outside and see how many people have shit posture anon. Is really common and doesnnt have anything to do with working out.
I was a fat kid. Your stomach fat makes pelvic tilt and the compensatory rounded shoulders the easiest position to stand in.

I got better posture just by doing squats and deadlifts. Especially deadlift is a great exercise to improve your posture.
