only one way to find out
also for anyone who was about to look up "mike tyson neck routine" bear in mind that in the process of obtaining this he fucked his neck up for life, had to have surgery to alleviate the constant pain, and has explicitly told people to not try it

no, but you'll get obstructive sleep apnea like me.
Biggest mistake I ever made was doing neck hypertrophy exercises.

        that's what I'm hoping.
I really dont want to be hooked a machine to keep me from suffocating in my sleep for the rest of my life.
Trying to cut from ~17% or so bf to 10-12% too. Hopefully I can get this to resolve itself over time

          >Trying to cut from ~17% or so bf to 10-12% too.
Is 17% where you start cutting at? Did you get sleep apnea at 17% bodyfat? Did you measure your neck to see its circumference before and after you started training it and got apnea?

my neck was a typical natty pencil neck of 16" or so.
It got up to 18.5" when I started to notice problems.

It could happen to a natty too.
                It would just take longer.

Not really, hralthy people and natties don't suffer from high blood pressure, tingles, cardiac arrests, liver failure, ball shrinkage, etc.

the mental state of IST nattys
I dont even know what "tingles" are. i guess its some gibberish you made up just now?
What does ball shrinkage or any of those things have to do with obstructive sleep apnea?
Do you even know what it is?
Do you realize most people with sleep apnea never touched a steroid in their life?

Ok cool. I am the first guy you replied to, ignore the other shitposter

Here is some info on it
What are the risk factors for obstructive sleep apnea?

Certain anatomical characteristics are associated with an increased risk of obstructive sleep apnea. They include:

              >Neck circumference larger than 17 inches (43 cm) for men

and 16 inches (40.5 cm) for women
Structural changes that prevent smooth airflow through the nose, such as a deviated septum
Certain variations of facial anatomy such as a short/recessed jaw, or an enlarged tongue or tonsils

Weight: A body mass index (BMI) exceeding 35 confers a significantly increased risk of obstructive sleep apnea, although people with a BMI below this level can still have the condition.

Age & Sex: The highest incidence of sleep apnea occurs beginning in middle age. Men are at higher risk than women, at least until women go through menopause.

High Blood Pressure: those with obstructive sleep apnea are more likely to have high blood pressure. This is because untreated sleep apnea itself can cause high blood pressure.

Family history: If one or more of your parents have sleep apnea, that increases your risk for developing it. You inherit some of your facial and other anatomical features.

Drugs & Medicines: Other things that can exacerbate sleep apnea include alcohol use and other sedating drugs or medicines. These can cause increased relaxation of the tissues that contribute to airway collapse, and also make the brain less sensitive to the signals that would normally cause someone to wake up and breathe.

hahahaha you usually (almost always) die out of the impact of your body dropping the height, not from estrangulation
even if you survived, the rope would slowly cut circulation and breathing that goes to your head, and having a neck that size guarantees your body will be very heavy and will estrangulate you quickly even if your neck is as thick as your chest
going back to the first point, your heavy body will break your neck as you fall, it doesn't matter how think the neck is after that, that's just it.

You wont be immune from hanging, but at least your head wont look like it's attached to a pencil, and I think that's the necks best thing.

Yeah, sleep apnea is developed almost exclusively by fat fucks. Barely a 2% of the population have visible abs, so the rest are fat fucks that barely train, much less do neck training, so all their neck circumference is just fat. Roiders have overdeveloped upper muscles (delts, traps, neck, etc) training even more will just make your body carry literally more muscle than it should.

A big chest is also a factor. It weighs down the torso and restricts breathing further.
All the more reason to cut down to low teens body fat.

This is now a sleep apnea thread for roiders.
