    I'm not a roider and I don't think natties should take advice from roiders but this is what I've been doing ever since I started and I've never had any problem with cutting, bulking or maintaining. Optimization is kind of a meme and counting calories is tiresome

    the only time i was ever lean in my life was when i deliberately ate clean, by avoiding orocessed sugars and excessive sodium and by trying to eat mainly whole foods, and by doing an hour of cardio at least 4x a week
    whenever i count calories i do lose weight quickly and considtenty, but unless i force myself to eat clean and do cardio, i either gain the weight back eventually, or i don't look as good as i should
    intuitive eating only works if you know what intuitions to ignore

    Depends on what you're used to eat.
    8 store bought chicken nuggets are 500 kcal. 200g of minced chicken, cooked in a bit of oil and vegetables and 250g potatoes are about 500 kcal.

    One makes you beyond full and one barely even makes a dent in your hunger

    I'd say that is fairly accurate. Obviously I have only lived in my own body but imo you shouldn't accidentally gain or lose weight. If you do, it is very minimal over very long time period. Before getting into "fitness" I stayed the same weight pretty much my entire life after I stopped growing. If you don't buy candy, chips, pizza etc. I find it very unreasonable to think that your body just craves and forcibly puts you into a surplus. Of course if everytime I go grocery shopping I buy goyslop I will gain weight because I'm not really listening to my body, I'm just eating cause I'm being a degenerate while playing video games etc.

    If I'm at home and I have REAL FOOD and I'm getting my protein, it is very natural to eat more or less precisely your TDEE. My body is not asking for less nor is it asking for more. I'm very satiated.

      People interpret that if he says if he has the appetite to satiate his hunger he will stay at his maintenance to mean that it is some general advice for everyone.

    kinda worked for me the last 10 years and I am in my mid 30's. I eat 80% clean through out the day until I am satiated. the other 20% are mostly for fun. sometimes I eat more but then on the next day I instinctively eat less but I am still satiated from the previous day. some kind of homeostasis. once you get used to it its second nature. whenever I want to cut its simple, I cut some of the fun calories. whenever I feel hungry through out the day I know I am losing weight. cant imagine tracking every single thing I eat through out the day, who the frick does this shit.

    it’s true if your ghrelin/insuline hormones aren’t fricked from eating processed sugary crap for the majority of your childhood/teens like i did. once i got into long fasts i actually ended up doing some 18hr fasts by accident because i simply wasn’t hungry as long fasting fixed my hunger hormones. im never getting fat again, i get treated so much better by everyone when leaner. im still fat imo.
