if youve made it already, have you gotten the thing you originally started lifting for? was it worth it?

'making it' is a never ending journey, to think otherwise is folly

I began at 16y to impress girls in high school because I was a skinny dude and realized that girls were mirin one of my bro meanwhile no girls cared about me. 26y old now, I don't do it for girls anymore but for the practice in itself. Seeing yourself improving physically, mentally and having some "complete" control on your body is something that brings you real joy and hapiness (for me). It's like money; in definitive, it's the fricking grind that is magical, not the end point. But I think anyone can figure it out at one point in his life. Keep grinding guys and be grateful to live this journey.

    I have not made it
I have not gotten what I set out for
    Therefore I must continue lifting
    Therefore I will make it

I realised that making it is not real. There is no such thing. You can always be stronger, more flexible, more well rounded, it is a never ending whimsical journey.

    >lose baby fat on face so I finally look in my 20s as I enter my 30s and have a jawline
    >20% to 15% body fat

I remember when I thought a 2pl8 squat was hard; a 2pl8 bench a distant dream. Struggling to eat enough to gain weight when I weighed 165lbs at 6'2. Its only when we look back at where we started that we see how far we've come.
We're all gonna make it lads.

I got married and had a kid before I started lifting so I made it already. Hoping I can lift my way to affording a house though.

Originally I just wanted to clean and jerk 3 plates. I'm almost there after 4 years. On that end it was worth it.

Secretly I wanted to be aesthetic and jacked and I've made a lot of progress there, but that doesn't feel worth it.
