Why the frick would you do that?
It shows you aren't very motivated, and will sap your will even more with the memory of the binge, and every addictive hormonal circuit in your brain will fire up full blast, making it even harder.
It's a recepie for failure.
You know what's good instead?
Having frequent small breaks. Like, get on a crazy restrictive diet, but every 3 days you get a cheat meal. Only, it's not a go crazy kind of cheat meal, but a normal meal like you'd be having now. Or, if you need numbers, it's a maintenance level meal.
You satisfy the cravings, renew your motivation, but don't frick up all the good work.
You'll start in January, but you'll finish in January as well

If you don’t have the motivation to do it right now, what makes you think you’ll have the motivation in a couple weeks after being a hedonist?
