I’m a 30 yo fat sack of shit. I signed up for gym this week. How do I actually show up and work out without looking like an autistic freak?

the only way you'll look like an autistic freak is if you don't show up
no one cares what you look like, just work out
You're too old to start gym...
Its never to late
Why
He's full of shit. It is true that the younger you start the better but that's like, by the standards of people who take this very seriously. The gap between where you could have gotten starting at 20 and where you could get now isn't nothing, but that's the gap between two people you would consider very strong and fit, and it is extremely unlikely you are going to discover this is the most important thing in the world to you and get to either of these two levels. You'll reach a certain level of being massively improved but not committed enough to improve that fast anymore, far short of either limit.
You're not too old. He's a loser homosexual trying to bring people down to make himself feel better.
Just don't smell bad and make sure your butt crack is covered. That's literally all you have to do. Sadly some people still fail at this.
This is critically important advice. So many fatties just don't comprehend how aromatic their folds have become.
Literally just walk in the door. No one is paying attention to you. Use proper etiquette and dont talk to strangers until youve been consistent for a long time.
If you’re actually an autistic freak you’ll be in good company. The gym is where they like to hang out
watch YouTube videos on how to use equipment and/or get a trainer, and start off super light. nobody cares but you might get some looks if you look like you're going to hurt yourself
What this homie packin? About 3 inches?
4 I'd say, with decent girth too. so not good but far from suicide tier ( sub 4 or less than 4.5 girth)
Ah the old snubnose. Good for concealed carry but not much else
Just show up. Nobody's looking at you, everyone's up to their eyeballs in their own bullshit. Wear deodorant.
nobody gives a shit nor a frick about you, just go and do the thing
I get more funny looks for listening without headphones now then I ever got for lifting while fat in a safety green shirt with walmart brand shorts.
You deserve them you gay, put headphones in
I respect fat people who try to exercise regularly and change their diet. As long as you show up daily, you're fine op
imagine never being physically active and you think a gym membership will make you change. Why didnt you go on runs and do calesthenics first?
(OP)
He cant do bodyweight stuff if hes fat. Gym is best for him.
Bro just dont smell like shit. Dress presentably, doesnt have to be fancy. Pick a doable routine, ideally 3-4 times per week 30min per workout. You dont need more than that in the beginning.
This homie is still alive lmao. I wonder if they will release him at 90 years old, by then he would have spent 70 years in prison.
You won't look autistic using the machines. Stick to those until you max them out.
They don't tell you this but you actually have been socialized male and raised to take in certain values by cultural osmosis.
If your current level of strength is below average or quite weak this may not actively bother you, but as you get stronger this will change. It is actually very easy to become stronger than average because the average man doesn't lift. This will make you feel good and you will want to remain not weak(at least by population standards).
So literally just try and stick with it until you've got a much higher bench press than you did at the start and you really won't want to lose it, such that you should at least with some consistency get in 2-3 times a week.
As for getting started its not rocket science. Do Bench Press, Squats, Deadlift, and OHP. If you were ever to add more I've enjoyed adding chin ups and Bicep Curls. Not much room to be that autistic, you'll start doing them at a low weight and if you just do your level best to follow the videos online your form will at least come to be okay enough build muscle and strength.
