I don't know how it is over in germany, but here in the USA the energy drinks have gotten way cheaper. It's probably the only thing I can think of at grocery stores that hasn't really been hit by inflation.
Monster often goes on sale - it usually costs 1.49 eur per 500ml can (plus +0.25 eurocents for that can, goy, but you can always get it back if you recycle the can). When on sale, it's about 0.79 eur.
Oh and forgot to add that they are like 5 bucks a can versus monster that is like 2 on sale (it's constantly on sale).
