Is there a way I could eat less than 1000 cal a day without feeling tired all the fricking time and fricking up my metabolism?
If so, what should I eat?

Home-cooked food, also nothing deepfried
I already cook all my food. Is there something nutrient dense with low calories that I could autistically cook most of the time and only occasionally add different things to prevent deficiencies?
Taters, unironically. But boiled or steamed with their skin intact (and eating that as well).
This. Remove all added fat from your diet. Eat tons of potato. That alone will drop most peoples weight down to healthy levels over time.
Boil 'em, mash 'em, put 'em in a stew
That (Hobbits know what's up) and also baked is fine although it'll probably cost ya some nutrients in the skin. Might be worth it for the improved/different flavor profile though.
>less than 1000 cal a day
Aiming for moronic goals is a sure way to fail. Eat your TDEE - 500 cal and take your time.
There is no quick cure.
Anon I don't have trouble maintaining my weigth in normal circumstances.
One summer I went down from 110kg to 80kg because I worked 12 hours a day the whole summer and only ate once a day, and managed to sustain that weight for 4 years without any problem until I went through some really shitty times in my life and put on 15kg in a few months by drinking excessive amounts of alcohol and smoking a lot of weed, which made me eat like a pig.
Now I know better, but being this fat makes me tired and unmotivated all the fricking time.
I just want to have my energy back and to be able to see the gains I make in the gym.
Also moronic goals is the most effective thing that has worked for me my whole life. If I don't set a moronic goal I can autistically obsess over I just end up forgetting about it and focusing on other stuff.
there's still numbers and targets and macros to obsess over if you want. just don't set the goal moronicly low or you'll feel terrible and won't make it.
a tiny % of people can handle insane cuts but most people can't, and even if you can your odds of rebounding afterwards and gaining it back are high.
slow and steady
third post best post
why are there so many morons that want to go from eating 4k kcals and not moving to eating 1k and run, jump, lift, swim.
>Is there a way I could eat less than 1000 cal a day
Yes, 36 egg whites and a multivitamin
>without feeling tired all the fricking time and fricking up my metabolism?
Oh, no, there isn’t. Do IF/OMAD, track what you eat, don’t fall for some meme diets, drink more water, move more.
>tldr EAT LESS FATTY
What about 10 whole hard boiled eggs a day with some milk and bell peppers for the vit c?
Why do you ask then if you immediately come up with your own “idea”?
It’s not gonna work, these suicide cuts are extreme and you need to have a gun pointed at your head to succeed or have some real dedication like MMA fighters do for their weigh ins. Just eat -500 cal from your maintenance calories and chill, work out a bit and be patient.
Because I specifically asked about extreme cut ideas. I don't ask if it's a good idea to do it. Since everyone is telling me to do something else I started giving my ideas to see if there's something I missed.
I have already decided I will be doing something extreme, I just figured I would better ask first for a advice on how I could do it in the least unhealthy way possible as far as extreme cuts go.
If you want to do something extreme, you could fast for a week. Although I would suggest to read up on it a bit and give yourself some prep time, also would suggest to do light exercises during your fasting period as it will help reduce muscle breakdown
Is really fasting for a week less unhealthy than eating 1k calories a day of eggs and milk?
You fricked up and you want quick fix. It doesn’t work like that. If you had a good experience with OMAD, why don’t you just do that? I bet you will fail some extreme cut in a matter of few days as it is unsustainable. You will feel tired as frick which will break you mentally.
>Yes, 36 egg whites and a multivitamin
What's with the egg white meme you see everywhere? Why wouldn't you eat the yolk, too (and a lower total amount of eggs)? Just throwing them away seems incredibly wasteful.
Why don't you start by joining the general?
Didn't know there was a general. I'm new to IST and assumed most people here were in good shape already.
Read the general, join the fatty contest, it'll be fun.
1k is pretty steep even for a non fat ass. 500 to start and gradually getting lower is better but if you can handle it maybe try 800 instead then continue off that. Just make sure you’re honest with yourself with your calorie intake. I’d also recommend getting some kind of exercise. Walking around the block is a good place to start and, once again, gradually going further each time is optimal
Kudos OP for trying to lose weight but I would suggest building good habits and not cutting down to 1k kcal a day. There are better and easier ways to lose weight then going on the great depression mode.
Even if you are a blob you don't need to eat less than 1000 kcal a day, the bigger the mass the more you need to eat to keep it.
>habits
Stop snacking, stop using mayo or other caloric sauces, stop drinking sugary and sweet drinks, prioritize proteins, reduce carbs.
Warm-up in the mornings, move more etc.
My boomer mom swears on these diet shakes you get at drug stores. Basically onions with a calorie deficit. She lost almost 40 pounds, I tried it and it gave me diarrhea
>onions
Thanks for the idea, but I would prefer not to go troonymode
Extreme changes are rarely sustainable, OP, and they're only appealing because you're hoping for extreme results. But you have to realise you're very unlikely to get extreme results. You're not going to blink and wake-up with a six pack. This is a project so you need to invest in it seriously:
>determine your target caloric intake for ~2-3lbs lost per month
>consistently measure your calories in
>make small, significant changes to ease toward a healthier diet (within your calorific target)
>begin walking 10,000 steps EVERY day
>join a gym, start a beginner weight training routine (almost any routine - consistent and simple)
>start going to the gym at the same time every week - e.g. start Mon, Wed, Fri
>up gym visits as you feel ready but don't overdo it and get an injury
Your goal shouldn't be to lose weight. Your goal should be to BUILD GOOD HABITS. Good habits have to be sustainable.
Just go to your doctor and get ozempic or saxenda. That way you'll at least get rid of the hunger feeling.
Hake: 77kcal per 100g with 17g protein and 1.2g fat
To tag onto this, I'm currently on an 1800kcal diet but getting a bit bored of it. What are the chances of allowing myself to pig out one day a month having a serious impact on my progress? There is only so much that fits into a stomach after all, especially if I restrict it to one meal (e.g. a visit to a buffet). Could I actually end up eating enough calories on that one day for it to impede my weight-loss journey?
In order to stop being a fatass for real you need a permanent change on your lifestyle, not temporal meme diets or fasting.
Learn to cook, stop eating fast food. At home only buy and eat only whole foods.
Avoid sugar in general and fried food (unhealthy and too many useless calories).
Become more physically active, find a sport or activity you legit enjoy.
Eat more meat, eggs, fish and veggies (don’t fricking fry them). Less carbs, fat and alcohol.
Count calories, at least at the beginning. You'll become conscious of how fattening is the shit you eat.
Don’t get too autistic about it. Shit takes time.
Who would fricking fry vegetable ?!
Me. I used to do that because I didn't like them.
That kind of defeat the low calorie count no ? Well that would depend on how much oil you put but still.
>veggies (don’t fricking fry them)
I stir-fry them in pig lard and there's nothing you can do about it.
You could eat 0 calories for five days and basically hit the reset button on your metabolism.
Just eat meat
You'll never have to restrict calories ever again

>fad diet
How 'bout no?
Tons of meal plans include regular canned tuna. But I hate canned tuna. What do? Is there a way to acclimatize myself to it? Any tips for preparation/recipes? I do at least tolerate fresh tuna in the context of good sushi for what's it worth.
I hate greek yogurt, and hated pink salmon (although kind of grown on me), none this shit taste good, that's what it means to be on a healthy diet, food isn't suppose to be tasty, but things like fruit are now actually tasty to me.
I eat about 1000-1200 cals for the last few months, mostly protein and fruit, decaf, diets going good, I don't really think about food that much anymore.
