      Motivation reasons:
      >Remind yourself why did you start going, if you already accomplished that goal, set a new one and remember that you have to maintain what you accomplished
      Monotony reasons:

Alternatively you can change gyms for a different scenery

the three main training goals that change the rep ranges are strength, aesthetics, and endurance

Do you burn out on brushing your teeth or taking a shower? Just view working out as something you do to maintain your health. And if you've been going for 3 years, it's okay to take a few days off or a week if you need to if that helps with your funk.

Your goal at this point should be health

You honestly need a good mogging. You probably look like weak shit and would die from being in the presence if a real man. You quit with nothing on the line. Either get stronger or lay down and die you pathetic homosexual.

what are your training goals? If you're a bodybuilder, give other sports a try like powerlifting, olympic lifting, calisthenics, gymnastics, yoga, climbing, running, cycling, kettlebells, sandbags, strongman, martial arts, even team sports like football other shit like that. there's so much stuff to try, you can never get good at it all so you shouldn't ever get bored.

this is the only way - get into something else rather than just lifting.

A short break is ok, maybe even part of the plan. I recommend a dance class, it's no joke. Brains get depressed when they aren't learning something new. A dance class isn't so much more physical training but way to enjoy and express all the hard work you've done so far. Your body is capable of lot more than it was three years ago and it's exciting to realize that. It'll translate back to the gym too

I see no point anymore besides keeping myself from roping, but I'm too fat to rope so I must continue.

    >get new music to listen to
    >new gym clothes
    >new water bottle
    >new routine
    >try different lifts entirely for each muscle
    >more cardio if you don’t do much
    >go all machines for a month
    >wear VR headset and watch hentai music videos while you lift
    >get a friend to lift with
Like anything, it’s only boring if you make it boring

Do you play any sports or do anything where you get to see your progress? I play in a men's lacrosse league and have to keep up with highschoolers and college guys as a 37 year old. Helps with goals and stuff.

That which is forced does not last. I burned out multiple times when I first started working out and eventually just decided to start again and it has permanently stuck this time. I honestly don't know what I did differently but I think taking breaks is fine.
