Lifting heavy weights has nothing to do with healthy exercise.

The problem with pure calisthenics is progressions, sometimes the jump is way too big and leads to either stalling or injury. Take for example the one-arm-pullup. It's easier and safer to slowly progress over time adding weight to your normal pullups and chinups until you reach a weight that is close to double your bodyweight than to go through some random bodyweight progression that supposedly will lead you to the 1 arm pullup. Same with handstand pushups. It's far easier to just do overhead presses to develop the same muscles without being upside down and having to struggle to maintain balance.

          >having to struggle to maintain balance.
That's the thing though, training your balance is part of it.

You are also training your balance during normal overhead presses, bro. It's imposible to be upright while pushing and holding 100kg over your head without the correct muscles being strong and firing correctly. The thing is that HS pushups force you to maintain balance in a rather unnatural position, plus, I really dont enjoy the feeling of blood pooling like mad in my head.

      Not real

      it's unnecessary

You don't need something that doesn't exist

bodyweight workouts are exhausting af because you train multiple muscles at the same time. this automatically makes you train the target muscle less compared to a machine where you isolate said muscle. don't even try to argue with this. bodyweight workouts are only good for functional strenght and simply inferior for aestehtics/mass

There is a noticeable difference between a bodybuilder look and an athletic look at the same weight/height/bf

There's nothing more functional than being strong (assuming you're not too fat)

I mean athletes look better than gymcels 100% of the time. You can tell when someone’s a gymcel, they have decent muscles and like 15-20% bodyfat but you can tell, just by looking at them, that they lack “it”. They aren’t athletic and they still carry themselves like the nerds and fatties that they are deep down

I don't need the gym but lifting heavy things is fun. Only a gay doesn't find enjoyment in picking up big stuff.

I'm convinced that all the calisthenics gays are coping third worlders who can't afford a gym subscription.
