        Keto sucks because you just gain it all back and get too much loose skin and loose gross. Focus on making long term lifestyle and diet changes. You should go to the gym at least 3x a week and eat <1700 calories a day.

          For ne as a 39 year old with an infant son and fatty liver/high blood pressure, it was about dropping the weight as fast as possible. I don't see me just putting the weight back on because I'm trying to not die plus I want to run around with my kid. Give zero shits about loose skin. I wasn't a shirt off gay when I was thin

Obviously food composition will have different effects on the body, but the paid vegan CICO shills are shitting up every thread every day whenever someone asks for advice. They don't give clear and concise rules, so some people get results by inadvertently entering ketosis, while others suffer, starve, and lose muscle/brain/etc.

            Also, that CICO is the sibling of the low-fat movement, since saturated fat is the most calorically dense food, despite also being the most satiating and nutritious.     I've lost 92 pounds in 4 months doing mostly omad and some 2mad. Not an expert or trying to argue but I feel pretty good. I don't refer to it as keto because I really don't know what that is. I still eat cheese, fruit, veggies, nuts, meat etc. Just no bread or pasta and dropped sugary drinks to just water.

    The problem is not that fasting is effective —it is at dropping WEIGHT quickly. But you will look like shit and your body will obsess about regaining the weight. The horror of finally being lean and then slowly losing the progress day by day is unreal.

    I finally lost the weight slowly, sustainably and with a ton of training. CICO, high protein and coaching for accountability. It works mang. The shortcuts just can't get you there.

      You can fast and then work on physique. It is what it is. Ultimately a lifestyle change is required to maintain no matter what but fasting is great for me. I guess it varies by person but to suggest that everyone who fasts will gain it all back is simply untrue.

    Fasting is good if you are a lardass. Keto is a bit of a meme but when you eat do keep your proteins up and carbs down, eat 500 calories less than your maintnance and most importantly actually work out regularly.

      What's the point of calorie counting if you're not doing the malnourishment diet? In ketosis, your body creates ketones from your bodyfat and some of the fat you consume.

    I OMAD and eat like a king.

    Chicken filet and lots of random vegetables seared with spices, mixed with raw crushed garlic and lots of olive oil
    eaten with cottage cheese

    then 2-3 kiwis and an apple. Strawberries every once in a while.

    then a handful each of blueberries and cranberries

    and finally a handful of nuts, mainly walnuts

    chase it all with some supplements
