Its literal demoralizarion propaganda. Not everyone can be an spacex engineer or a successful bussinessman. Your A+ in your maths exam 10 years ago means literally nothing. No it doesn't. IQ determines your ability to do EVERYTHING. There is NOTHING a low IQ can do better than a high IQ, full stop. I've spent 20 years of my life thinking just like you. Don't. You might die. Sub 115s are all skinwalkers. They will bash your head in with a rock and will feel genuine sorrow for how heavy it was to lift, then they will hate your skull with every fiber of their being for being in the way. None of them are human. There is nothing inside them but necrophagist opportunism and utterly destructive chaos. Disregard this at your own peril.

    >Background : “IQ” is a stale test meant to measure mental capacity but in fact mostly measures extreme unintelligence (learning difficulties), as well as, to a lesser extent (with a lot of noise), a form of intelligence, stripped of 2nd order effects — how good someone is at taking some type of exams designed by unsophisticated nerds. It is via negativa not via positiva. Designed for learning disabilities, and given that it is not too needed there (see argument further down), it ends up selecting for exam-takers, paper shufflers, obedient IYIs (intellectuals yet idiots), ill adapted for “real life”. (The fact that it correlates with general incompetence makes the overall correlation look high, even when it is random, see Figures 1 and 2.) The concept is poorly thought out mathematically by the field (commits a severe flaw in correlation under fat tails and asymmetries; fails to properly deal with dimensionality; treats the mind as an instrument not a complex system), and seems to be promoted by

Nice post, also anyone who taken a modern psych class they just straight up say in the first year that IQ= good at academics(doing tests) and that their are far better things to measure for success in life then IQ.

The only reason people think IQ has any level of importance is because it simplifies the concept of "intelligence", we don't need to have a strong grasp of what it is to have intelligence and thus we do not need to enter a deeper discussion on the topic.

We all know that the concept of intelligence is a wide spectrum of things but we play dumb when it comes to questioning this like, well how valuable these core components such as decision making, spatial awareness, linguistics etc are in a modern society. Spatial awareness and pattern cognition may of been far more useful in a skill based society such as during a medieval age and now we see linguistic being very valuable in the modern day.

Intelligence in itself is a very complex thing and it becomes even harder to understand when you apply values to those sub concepts that make up intelligence.

try to think of this this way:
IQ is like genetics for building muscle - if you have good genetics, you'll get spectacular results from lifting, if you have poor genetics you can still achieve a lot if you put in enough work
you can easily apply this logic to any other more intellectual discipline - if you're naturally intelligent, you'll probably learn faster, but even a halfwit can master a lot of things if he actually works towards it
    >Frick bros I didn't have time for the last tasks
why do you even care then? the results are meaningless in this case

You saw number on a screen and now you are worried that other people have a bigger number, forget it. Just be yourself and try your best and that's all anyone can ask of you.

I’ve heard people complain about these internet tests. Halfway into the test they’ll stop seeing any pattern and believe it’s random or they’ll say the test is fricking with them. Having high-end pattern recognition can be intense. To cope with being alive you’ll find ways to dumb down temporarily, wanting to be comfortably numb.
I practice involuntary sleep deprivation and take adhd meds to quiet the excessive pattern recognition. Makes me perform better in some ways and morons my ability to see the big picture. I’ll usually save the big picture stuff for when the meds wear off.
