Is a 300 lbs ATG front squat respectable if I weigh 195lbs at 62? Posted on May 6, 2023 by Anonymous Is a 300 lbs ATG front squat respectable if I weigh 195lbs at 6’2”?
Not too bad if you're just starting off
i only did 3x8 of 165lbs today
Pretty good if you've been lifting for less than a year.
Very impressive tbqh. I’d say more impressive that a 4pl8 back squat
Back squat suffers from parallel egolifters, the game is rigged. Some powerlifter mongol squats to parallel and has the perfect proportions for it and acts like he's all that; front squatting ATG is the ultimate squat, the fair competition.
Yeah that’s impressive front squats are hard
since everyone is retarded I will give a non meme answer to your obvious meme question; I have never seen anyone front squat more than 2 lmaopl8 including myself for 2 reps
To truly be impressive you gotta zerch it
Yeah, you'll mog just about anyone in a commercial gym front squatting even 225.
basically this. Don't as us what's impressive ah you'll just get fat dyels blubbering and crying.
nothing is respectable to IST
/fir/ is a bunch of weak beta gays. I am but a humble electrician but I did a job at a gym once and found out I can out squat, out press, and out deadlift so many of you weak cunts. I'm 178 lbs @ 6' and I could OHP 1pl8 for reps the first time I ever tried it in my life. Also was able to do 10 reps of 275lbs deadlift the one and only time I've ever tried in my life. Y'all weak gays need to get out of the gym and get strong IRL.
you probably push pressed the shit out of that ohp and literal high school kids can deadlift that weight
>literal high school kids can deadlift that weight
I am aware, considering this was a gym inside a high school and I only did it because there was a bar on the ground with 2 pl8+25lbs on either side already loaded. The 10 reps wasn't hard but I had a job to do and didn't have time to fiddle too much with the weight. Just repped it out on a few lifts and went back to work. The point is I see people on fit all the time that are excited about doing barely more weight than that after years of training. I can also close and hold a CoC 1.5 with both hands
This story was from 2 years ago. I'm fat now (189 lbs) but much stronger too. The only exercise I do outside of work is pullups. Can do 4 reps at +45lbs. Not impressive, I know, but I do it inconsistently and sporadically. I can climb scaffolding without using legs at all.
is being an electrician hard work or something
It feels like the answer is no, but we just had a 20 year old IST kid join us. He is lean and has bigger arms/forearms/chest than me but he constantly complains that tasks that I now think are trivial are difficult and tiring. He looks jacked af but he is so weak and it has really awoken me to how weak gymfags are. He honestly looks 10x better than me but he is pathetically weak and constantly makes me kek with how weak he is on the job. I realize most of IST are likely as weak as he is or moreso, since he looms better than 90% of the posters here. He'll get stronger over the next 6 months or so though.
You know high schoolers are supposed to post here and therefore you shouldn't compare us all to them or yourself to teens right?
Are not supposed to I mean. 18+ website
i literally front squat double that at half your bw
For normies? Yes. For IST? Yes. For me? No.
Front squat maxes are like your preacher curl max. Nobody cares.
i'm a weak fatty at 6'2" and I ruined my shoulders doing front squats, can't do ohp now because I get i grinding pain in my left shoulder, though I still do them either way, just warm up very slowly. Need to grow them delts I suppose because front squats felt more natural than back squats to me.
Imagine hurting your shoulders just because you can’t keep your body upright.
i am 5'10, 230lbs, and my front squat is 405, and took me about 4 years
300 is very good, unless you plan on competing ofcourse
Are you planning on competing anon? What do your legs look like?
Which is more impressive, a 3pl8 front squat or a 3pl8 Zercher squat?
>tfw you still struggle with 40kg
