Yeah! But always start small if you don't have a huge budget ATM. Pull up bar, rings, barbell, adjustable dumbbell bars and weight plates can be the first items in the first year.

why bother just put it all on a credit card and pay it off over time. You're not in for more than 1k in most cases

        >barebell
        >2 dumbbells
        >squat rack
        >pullup bar
        >100kg in dumbbell plates
        >200 kg in barebell plates
also ideally some platform / padding to not break the floor while deadlifting or if the weight falls down
        t. europoor and can't afford more than a used bench and a pair of dumbbells with 40kg
wish i was american in this scenario

I actually just use my doorframe as at anchor (top, bottom, corners or side depending on the exercise) and haven't need to to install any wall mounts

Do a bodyweight routine first and see if you can stick to it before you go all out. Most people invest in a home gym but it ends up collecting dust in a corner unused. It's easy to get lazy when you have a home gym.

    >$300+/year for a gym
    >plan on going 5+ years for at least $1500 in total
    >have to deal with busy hours if that's the only time you can workout
    >have to deal with people doing moronic shit
    >have to deal with dyels wasting time while taking up the equipment
    >have to leave house
    or
    >spend $2000 on a rack + barbell + weights + bench + adjustable dumbbells (can look for used stuff to get savings)
    >only people you invite are there
    >you can lift whenever you're at home when it's convenient
    >will be available your entire life or until you decide to sell it

      >$300+/year for a gym
      So cheap it's basically free
      >plan on going 5+ years for at least $1500 in total
Cheaper than homegym and much greater equipment selection
      >have to deal with busy hours if that's the only time you can workout
      Wake up earlier homosexual
      >have to deal with people doing moronic shit
Imagine letting other people irritate you to this degree
      >have to deal with dyels wasting time while taking up the equipment
Just kick them off by working in and making them so uncomfortable that they leave you be
      >have to leave house
      lmao

And you wonder why homegymcels are dyel...

    Yes
    >why
It's just you. You can buy equipment you like, lift when you want, split up and easily do 2 sessions a day, or 6 days a week.
No commuting, no shitty rubber 8 sided plates with shit barbells.

Anything you buy used can probably sell for a similar price.

You can start with a pull-up bar.
Then once you are commited get a rack, plates, and bar.
Then slowly expand as you desire.

If you have a cheap gym that has a good atmosphere/people then do that.
Over here we mostly have chain gyms that cost 50-100 usd a month, and they all have shit equipment.

yeah someone mentioned a gym that's supposedly $10 a month and that's true if you don't pay attention to the initiation fee, yearly fee(?), convenience fee and the minimum 12 month contract

It kinda is if you hate being bothered for lifting a lot of weight. Though pic related gives me a stroke looking at it .

Imagine what you spend on membership for a year, then transportation, and time to wait if it's busy.
Would a bench and weight set cost more?
