The reason btw is because that anime is one of the few that Americans get dripfed by the cableisraelite and so they think it's bigger than it is.
It's called Demon Slayer, it's okay, but it's just another shonen. It will be forgotten along with a host of others I can't call to mind because I forgot them. The animation is pretty, but the story is kinda meh.

I work at a drug discovery company. About 1/4 of the people have watched anime, maybe a little less still watch it. All walks of life, actually fairly hard to tell just from looking at someone who does/doesn't watch anime.
All of us around mid-20s-30s btw.
Local cons are infinitely more fun when you are older and have money to spend on shit, and when you are fit and can cosplay fit characters.
Normies are surprisingly open to getting into anime, as long as its a non-sperg getting them to watch something, and as long as it isn't the typical fan-service filled/pedo-esque anime which unfortunately are super common even among the really good animes.
Everyone under the age of 50 outside of the United States watches anime.
