No but it’s getting there. And the more time you waste here instead of making changes (and no “researching online” isn’t self improvement) the smaller your chances of success are.

I am considering getting a degree in electrical engineering but I am worried that I won't find a girlfriend being in STEM and starting college being that old. I really don't want to be single at 30, I have read that dating is horrible at that age. My time is running out fast and going forward, I am not exactly in a good spot to attract a girl.

23 isn’t too old. When I was an undergrad I had friends in my year who were a couple and even up to 8 years older than me. You shouldn’t party with the freshmen on their level because you’ll be the older guy but plenty of social opportunities and theoretically you’ll be a mature student and able to excel academically.

Go for it. What’s the point in wondering “what if” another year? Being in the exact same position you are now, making vague plans that never materialize and always having that nagging thought in your head that you can and should be doing more with your life. Part of your problem, like most people, is that you hold yourself back. You need to take the leap and not let yourself be paralyzed by inactivity, apprehension and the need to consider all angles first. Just do it.

Did you do well in school?
EE is tough, and going in there with highschool maths 5 years ago will be a challenge

It's not too late to change your life but make acheiveable changes. Swap the college degree for a community college degree, swap girlfriend for boyfriend, job can stay as is, and swap family with aids

          >Did you do well in school?
Yes, I was the typical kid who had good to very good grades with barely studying for it. With enough effort I can definitely get a STEM degree.

College is very different from high school so go in there with the expectation that you’ll have to work your ass off. Just make sure to socialize and put yourself out there to increase odds of finding a good group of friends and a gf. Along with networking.

I'll have to work part-time, like 10-15h, though because I have no money.

500 but I have 17K in crypto, hope to at least 2x it in the next bullrun.

That’s okay just make sure you find time to socialize and network otherwise you’re just going to be getting your piece of paper at the end of it and besides that you won’t have any new experiences or different outlook. You’ll be you just 4 years older with better job prospects (maybe).

You need to go into it with the idea that it’s about getting a degree for a better career but also getting experiences, social skills and networking to better not just career prospects but relationship and family prospects. Don’t let yourself use PT work or studying as an excuse to be a recluse and spend the same amount of time online and not living IRL. Look at it as an opportunity to reimagine yourself, force yourself outside of your comfort zone and say yes when you’d normally say no to new (often uncomfortable) experiences.

Trust me on this. I did a 180 when I left home for college and it was the best thing I could have ever done.

Don't get fooled. I took EE and struggled but finished it. I worked part time too while doing it too. University is very diffe0rent to highschool, so approach it like you need to study your ass off

            Either way, good luck bro

Dating at 30 is only bad if you're fat and ugly. If you look youthful you can pull 24yo easily

My uncle pulled a girl 10 years younger than him and when they got married she cheated on him with 5 different men and had 3 abortions from 3 of them.

too young for the family part, perfect age for fit and degree, family should wait since women your age aren't mature enough for that kind of commitment.

aren't you the shitskin built like a fricking fridge from yesterday who hates himself? who pays you to come here and demoralize others?

You’re too hard on yourself for things you can’t control
