I cycle to the gym and back (around 1.5 miles each way) 3 or 4 times a week, is that enough cardio to not do anything else?

that doesn't even count as exercise

For me it's kinda hard, but I'm also an inexperienced cyclist. I suspect it's cause I'm in a pretty hilly area.
I used to walk to the gym but it takes too much time, that's why I got a bike
I dunno man, I get pretty exhausted sometimes just from riding there and back. And it's not like I'm unfit either, before this I walked there and back plus ran for 2+ miles every other day. But cycling gets me huffing and puffing quickly. Again it might be the steep hills or cause I'm inexperienced.
Try to go for long bike rides (5 miles per 30min) or do sprints to challenge your heart. Keep the gym gains balanced with cardio
Mate 5 miles per 30 minutes is slow as frick
Cycling is great but people don't do it at high enough intensity. Try 20 miles in an hour
Nta, but u a big dummy
Yea but it’s a start for beginners
It's better to walk
1. That's basically a warmup
2. Less gains lost
3. More steps in
4. Less damage on your joints
implying cycling is anything other than a medium for transportation
lmao
it just works your quads, everything else is ignored. it sucks from a fitness standpoint
work on your core and glutes and start running, b***h homosexual
I dont think you guys really understand cardio at all. For the rabbit hole of knowledge around lifting you see people asking shit like this all the time
When you get on a bike, its not till like 20 minutes in your body catches up to the frickin idea of what you're doing and shuts down all the other dumb shit its doing and really lets you stretch your legs.
Its like 30 to 45 minutes of this that gets you places. Then cool down. Takes like 35 to 45 to an hour on a bike to really stretch your lungs.
The sprint you can do 30 minutes in blows the sprint you can do at 15 minutes in out of the water.
You feel like shit from minutes 10 to 20. Then you break thru. You guys just dont talk like you get
>yea i do 20 min of cardio 3 times a week
No, you literally just stress yourself out and claim cardio kills gainz
considering those are 700cc wheels, that guy is probably 165cm tall.
if the wheels are 650b.... it's even worse.
Not like short people have a choice.
I'll 6'5" and would gladly trade some of my height. I don't see anything to be gained for a natty over 6'2"
yeah, that guy is a FRICKING MANLET!
Hey thats the road to dripping springs in Las Cruces! I used to hike up there all the time
Looks very nice
>having a gym that close
I hate you people.
How far away is your gym anon?
I look like this after considering buying a bike in the far future
No other diet or exercise
I am a 6 year old female child
Doesnt the biking pad kill your dick?
"Enough" What does this even mean? It's like asking if $10/hour is "enough" wage.
1.5 miles of cycling is a tiny amount of cardio, but it's still going to be improvement on nothing.
