I assume americans always shoot to kill because 2 years prison is less than the financial troubles you get if you shoot him in the leg and he sues you

the gas pump said "etanol" on it so I assume this is actually Brazil, but that is a very American looking truck I do concede

          Anonymous

you're always shooting "to kill" because hitting someone in any part of their body will very easily kill someone.
          >arm: brachial artery
          >body: heart, lungs, spine, entire digestive system (very slow death/permanent damage that will eventually kill)
          >legs: femural artery
          >hands/feet: not practically possible to hit, still a massive risk if you do
Not coming after you, but it's always silly to see people saying "he shot to kill :(" online because it demonstrates a clear lack of understanding of how bullets and bodies work

What happened to the rabbit puncher? Was he forced to retire? Did he get sued and had to pay for treatment? What about the ref and judges? Clearly deserve some sort of punishment for not doing their job properly

        Anonymous

if you get into the ring you know the risks you're taking. several people die every year from boxing. even if you do everything perfectly people will still die or become vegetables.
there's no guarantee the rabbit punching were what specifically led to this guy becoming messed up. being punched in the head by a professional puncher for 12 rounds is always going to be dangerous.

        Anonymous

Nobody was punished. It wasn't even the first time the ref had fricked up, although the level of fights he officiates has dropped to the point where he does Toughman events now.

If ever got into the ring and my opponent hit me more than twice behind my neck, im sending a knee straight to his balls and then knocking out the ref.
My boxing career isn't even slightly worth it compared to not turning into a vegetable

Still took a lot of shit before giving up. I'm guessing out of honor or pride but I'm terrified of what an unlucky punch in that part of your body can do to you.
Once is an accident, twice is on purpose and thrice means you're getting your dick exploded and im biting your ear or something, while also I'm killing the ref for being a corrupt b***h

      >Throughout the match, Williams repeatedly punched Colón in the back of the head despite this type of punch being illegal. Colón informed the referee, Joe Cooper, of the illegal punches to the back of his head, to which the referee replied "You take care of it."[13] Colón hit Williams with a low blow, for which Colón was penalized 2 points. After multiple illegal blows, Colón was knocked down for the first time in his professional career during the ninth round.

Ok so this moronic gorilla Black person just repeatedly broke the rules and the refs did nothing about it. Cool.

yeah pretty much, even though you're fricked if you're a manlet, two dudes were sparring yesterday, no helmets on. one was like 5'7 looked like he knew how to box, other guy around 6'4 just throwing whatever he could no training whatsoever both same weight I'd say aroound 170lbs. Yet, the little guy had to get in to punch, on his way in he got caught by a random haymaker, wasn't even intentional the other guy almost had his eyes closed. I heard this loud BOOP and down he went.

Being able to beat people up isn't a kind of fitness, it is a skill. Being good at a martial art doesn't make you more fit, it makes you more skilled at a martial art.
Saying boxing makes you more fit because you can beat up strangers is like saying me being good at fishing makes me more fit because I will live longer in a survival situation.

You think you can last three rounds without cardio? You can put the most skilled boxer in the world and transplant his mind into the body of some unathletic DYEL, he's gonna be shit.

most of your time training combat sports will be spent training technique. transfer to physical fitness is incidental and will diminish as technique improves. you can find fat and out of shape guys in every combat sport on the planet.

Go to the UFC website, look at the champions of each division, do they look like fatfricks????

Practically all of them are 10%ish percent bodyfat with shitloads of muscle (with the exception of heavyweights)

All ufc fighters, with 0 exceptions, train their purely physical attributes like strength and cardio.

As the other anon said, you can take the best fighter on planet earth, put his brain into that of an out of shape 30 year old with a beer belly and he'll have trouble beating amateur fighters.
