it's just really good for general strength
a good deadlift allows y'ou to maintain good postrure not only when walking, but playing sports too, which makes you more efficient when running and moving around the field
Literally no it doesn't lmao. The deadlift is just half of a clean, and like 1/4th the movement of a clean and press. It's inferior to the clean in literally every single metric except that it takes a few less sessions for the rabble to learn it than cleans do. The only reason deadlifts became so popular is powershitting became so prevalent on social media, because it requires zero athleticism of talent. The deadlift is ass for "general strength" compared to a clean or power clean/hang clean, and it absolutely abysmal for hypertrophy
Deadlifts are better for general strength. Cleans are better for explosiveness. Different goals entirely. The deadlift is better if you just want to get better at picking up heavy things from the ground.
>Your turn.
Protip: anyone who asks you to post your body without posting theirs first is a DYEL homosexual who knows 90% of this board looks better than them. You should know this by now

Cleans are better than deadlifts overall. They give a lot more than deadlifts for any athlete.
Do you roid? You look great if you're a natty, not so much if you are a schizotroony though.
that makes sense, i guess cleans take care of the general strength too, but a big deadlift helps your clean too
i would get to a 4pl8 deadlift, then go all in on power cleans or cleans
you are afraid of deadlifting and are trying to justify it somehow. this comes out to you posting threads on IST about deadlifting being reddit.
very sad and pathetic. terminal onlineness.
If Robert Oberst is afraid of deadlifts I sure as shit am. Sure I'll do rdls and stuff, you won't catch me pumping out orm deadlifts very often because the risk to reward is dogshit.
its fun like the squat because you are moving your head and torso but its much safer, which means you can push and have fun (at least when you are not training)
because its one of the big 3 lifts, its not hard to understand that since everyone knows the deadlift, newbies are going to also do it and then encourage it to others
>it's another "DUDE deadlifts are like SO DANGEROUS your spine can like EXPLODE they are only for icky people I dont like" thread
Maybe if you didn't treat your lower back like it was made of glass and exposed it to load you wouldn't be at risk of snapmaxxing every time you bent over to pick something up off the ground. Do some Jefferson curls or Zerchers sometime, your back will thank you when you get older.
Because you can reach pretty high weights by improving your technique, all without having to gain muscle mass
It's easy to get relatively strong on it, especially when you do bullshit like sumo. The zoomers pulling 4-5 plates struggle to bench 2 plates.

Post physique LMAO. What you're saying makes zero sense. Define "general strength" and how deadlift trains it better than a clean
Your turn.
> Define "general strength" and how deadlift trains it better than a clean
I already told you. The ability to pick up something heavy from the floor.
nice gyno fat homosexual
Lol post body.
I know, I just like shutting up these morons.
You were saying israelite?

nta but being afraid is a part of rational life.

why do you keep making these threads. have a nice day
i've almost never seen a zoomer deadlift
it's certainly more popular among us boomers, at least here in my euro country
I've only ever seen zoomers do hip thrusts.
i got to 5plmao on conventional with only hip thrusts and squatting
Why are you so obsessed with what other people do homie, kys.
