You’re an idiot feet are the next toughest thing on your body second only to the top of your skull as long as you wash your feet at the end of the day and don’t go stomping barefoot thru something moronic like the bottom of a water treatment plant full of broken glass or with open wounds on your feet. Barefoot in the grass is fine

Yep, this is how far gone we are. Our cure is outside, its just dry/wet/cold/hot/THE TEXTURE IS BAD so we cloister ourselves inside and make ourselves sick, where if we were to just go out, we'd realise we like those things

I'm not sure how far you want to take this but I used to be able to step on broken glass without it cutting my feet (by accident, of course), and could put out a cigarette on my heel. I know old people who could sprint across oyster shells (common for parking lots down here, will absolutely lacerate your feet), when they were children. Only started wearing shoes regularly when I got tired of stepping in things like spit or motor oil. Now I try to be barefoot as much as possible, (not in inner cities or downtown anymore, but at the beaches, springs and innawoods often) and just wear my Vivo's or flip flops when I should be wearing shoes.

it takes around a year to achieve the full thickness of callus that a human sole is capable of producing
during that time you have to be exposing the tissue to pressure & friction on a daily basis
calluses are built up of dead skin, and it takes around a month (a bit less for children/teens) for a newly-divided cell in the dermis to die and be pushed out to the epidermis
            >similar experience, my childhood neighborhood had oyster cement streets and by the end of summer I could walk a mile and a half down to the park with no problem, even if it was the middle of the day and it was hot enough to fry an egg on the pavement
            >when I tell people about this they think I'm bullshitting

Impressive, but you live in a hot climate so you are weaker than me by default. Do you shovel snow everytime it snows, deal with -20F weather and lower, and have to suffer through winds that freeze your uncovered face in less than 5 minutes? No? Then you are weaker than me. This applies to all people that live in hot climates. Sorry, I don't make the rules, yes, this is the reason Black folk live in hot climates.

I do not. Sounds kinda gay tbh. I'd rather go to the beach, surf, and look at the booba that abounds. I do like snow though. You better be ice bath maxxing. Best wishes anon

I prefer walking on concrete though, once you get used to it the feel on your feet can be quite nice.

Our brains did not evolve to process sensory input relating to modern materials. It doesn't mean modern materials are bad, it just means natural shapes, sounds, smells, tactile sensations etc induce a slightly lower cognitive load. Shrimply put, nature feels good. Energy related pseudoscience is just mumbo jumbo to make people feel smart for occasionally looking at trees.

True. One time when i cam out from the woods and to civilization i noticed how many straight lines there where, and how little straight lines there are in nature.

people pay for 'conductive materials' with wires that you plug into an electrical socket. Pillows, mats, entire mattresses, clogs. In this respect it's a variation of people paying to put weak magnets in israeliteelry.
the actual health benefits are probably from going outside and finding some grass.

It’s new age bullshit, but if you find it therapeutic to just stand in the dirt and grass barefoot for a while you should just do it. Even if it’s just placebo, placebo can yield pretty powerful results and I can think of a few benefits for a modern person that would come with just disconnecting to go sit or stand outside for a while for a while beyond some ridiculous energy transfer theory.

Look for someone making money from it. If there isn't one, it literally can't be a scam. It can be ineffective, but not a scam.
