Is there any downside to elevating your heels on backsquat?

Idk man, I never needed heels elevated. I was able to Squat with perfect form 5 minutes after reading the instructions. I guess I'm lucky
How tall are you?
If it helps you squat to depth, it's fine by me
But you should still try and work on your mobility to eventually not need it
Its not your height its proportions and hip sockets
See
long torso and short femur, easy deep squats.
My femur is long as shit
Maybe, but homie that torso is longer than a highway.
I also cant really see hip sockets either.
tall people do seem to be more likely to have long femurs though.
Just squat more
>t. 194cm
Your tibia is much longer than your femur and your torso is double the size. Ofc, you can squat atg. Despite such proportions you still have a shitty form.
Very good example of short tibias making it easy.
How much you lean forward during squat has nothing to do with how tall you are. It's all about tibia to femur to torso proportions.
Torso is kostly the same for the same racial group. The difference in height almost alway manifests in the difference in limb length. So it does. But yes the proportion are what really matters.
>do front squat in smith machine
>elevate heels
heh nothing personnel
I only ever see manlets doing it.
