            Had a patient who was 103yo and you’d have though he was mid seventies; aside from some macular degeneration he was in excellent shape.       Why? What is the logic behind this statement. You can't just say exercise=good you have to say how exercise is going to extend your lifespan.

      Take a car for example. The faster.you drive it, the longer your drive it, the more it wears out. If you want your car to last as long as possible you drive it as gently as possible and drive it seldom. Thisaoes sense because all stress is bad for a car.
      Now I'm not saying a human body is the same as a car, but common sense would dictate that stress leads to inflammation and is also going to wear out your body.

          That's not always true. And stronger does not equal longer lifespan. Having more muscle or being taller puts more strain on the body and heart and leads to lower lifespan. A candle that burns brighter also extinguishes quicker. Also, there are different kinds of stress. I could stress my skin by going out into the sun and getting burnt then get cancer and die prematurily. I could stress my body by drinking soda pop all day.
