not a meme but too expensive
if you have the money go for it
yes
I live in a college town and the gyms are always fricking packed. I realized I haven’t gone to the gym in over a year simply because I hate waiting forever to use the bench and the machines.
However I technically have the space to build a small garage gym. Could get a bench cage, free weights, and then one of those multi stations for facepulls, rows, lat pull-downs, etc
Or I could just get this shit and install it in my house. Seems like it would cost the same or maybe a little less than all the other equipment. Just wondering if it will give me decent results.
If you're going to have a power rack you might want to look into just adding your own pulleys to it. They sell entire pulley systems for that purpose on amazon, some people make their own to use nicer pulleys and better parts too. It's much cheaper than buying an entire machine and takes up less room too.
I have friend who's a stereotypical silicon valley tech bro, so obviously he bought one of these things. Some guys came and "professionally installed" it in his house. 2 months later he was using it when it ripped straight off the wall because. They had mounted it directly into the drywall. The screen smashed on the floor and left a huge mark on the hardwood. It nearly hit his foot which would have absolutely broken several bones. Tonal told him it was improperly installed and refused to offer a refund or repair costs despite him having record of their employees installing it. They claimed he must have taken it off the wall where it was originally installed and moved it, something he doesn't even own the equipment to do, which is why he had them install it in the first place.
He should sue the frick out of them and the installers assuming they were independent contractors. They will likely settle it for costs of the machine and damage.
Yes and no. Consider you're living in a basedbox then this would be a good cope for a real workout. It's a solution for a problem that should never have happened
>"Is latest digital subscription based workout machine that costs 5k and you dont even move actual weights a meme?"
Yes its a fricking meme, you could build a sweet home / garage gym with everything you'd need for half the cost of that.
yes
that specific piece of equipment is yes
using cables isnt though, especially the ones where you can mov the machine-arms around

anything proprietary and overly complicated is prone to failure and then an inability to fix/replace.
Just get the standard stuff, if you get cable stuff, try and get olympic plate loaded stuff
its fricking stupid bro you think anyone is going hard pulling cables out of smart screen in their wall? Lift actual barbells homosexual
You also have to pay a subscription to actually use that piece of shit.
you can make a good home gym for less than $1000
Sounds like you don't know what you are doing. Even if you got proper equipment or went back to the gym, you would still not make any gains
