I feel like my knees would explode if I jumped for more than 10 minutes a day.

it's good and harder than you think. just doing a minute is difficult when getting started. mostly feel it in my calves and feet. don't slam on your heels and you'll be fine. do a little more each day.

weak knees or fatty, you get used to it pretty fast, just take regular breaks when starting out so you won't bust your ankles, knees don't really get hurt that much its the ankles that do.

also, always do warm up push ups and squats on set of 5-10.

This girl swears by it and has made it her whole thing. She has older posts where she was a lot less fit. Probably everything works, it's about finding what you can stand to do consistently or even enjoy. Y'all ever see that one episode of This Spoke Rohan Kishibe? I always think of that Angel guy jumping rope for inspo

I recommend wearing some portable sports headset or whatever that you find comfortable/doesn't get in the way of the rope so you can zone out on the music whilst doing the jump rope, for me its the boxers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE9qenTx2oE

Why do you autistic zoomshits need to insulate yourselves from the world around you in order not to go spastic? Is it just because in American gyms everyone is a loud obnoxious c**t? Or are you incapable of focusing on something while listening to your own thoughts.

If I owned a gym I would literally ban any and all forms of music, and would punish gym-goers who broke the rule by locking them in the gibbet of shame.

          Stop being so autistic, bro
music is motivating, nothing wrong with listening to it when you're working out

Only morons listen to music when they are out and about. You lose so much awareness of your surroundings when you do that. It's like you're asking to be sucker-punched by a Black person. Listening to music "for motivation" makes you dependent on it; not to mention it loses its efficacy if you do it all the time. The gym is a temple. The only sounds should be grunts of effort and the clang of iron.

I don't live in the US so I don't have this problem.

I enjoyed jumping ropes until I realized that I made big jumps like an absolute kid instead of microscopic jumps like .
So I stopped. Because I feel like a fool for doing it wrong, and also because it's no fun at all not doing the big jumps.

I still love it actually I just do bigger jumps, who cares how Udo it I’m using more muscle going higher. Still cardio. I still drip sweat doing it and keep my HR up.

it's good and harder than you think. just doing a minute is difficult when getting started. mostly feel it in my calves and feet. don't slam on your heels and you'll be fine. do a little more each day.

Yeah my left ankle is currently a big fricked up, but I improved from 30min every few days to 30min on B days and 60min with lifting in between on A days. Once I shook off the initial soreness it really got easier, I don’t know wtf is wrong with my ankle though. I didn’t trip, I didn’t whip it, I just realized it hurt one morning 4 days ago. Other ones fine, no swelling, it’s on the right (inner) side of my ankle, right over the bone. I can still go on my top toes and point my point at each other so it’s not tendinitis, so I’m gonna resume today. No pain no gain.
Eventually if I keep it up, I won’t be fat anymore, and I’ll be able to take way more with no pain or strain in my joints

Skipping rope is an obvious cardio exercise which benefits boxers because you are training the same muscle groups as in boxing: arms and legs. It is superior to something like an assault bike because a) it's a fricking $10 rope, and b) it mimics the kind of movement of your legs in a boxing match.

Then that would mean your technique sucks, you are too old or morbidly obese
