is it even possible?

anyone here sleeps 8 hours every night and doesn't feel tired every single day to the point of headaches and getting bedridden for hours? with no need for caffeine? do these people exist? i have felt so tired my entire life i don't think it's even possible to feel energy anymore, and it seems like all the overworked proles around me are the same and they just cope with drugs. i want success stories. i want to know it's possible

i already exercise, but what else can i do? how can i sleep better? is it over for me if i got asperger's and get that "burnout" shit against my will?

I do it like any self-respecting wagie and sleep 5 hours during week and then just "make it up" by sleeping 14 hours on the weekend

not gonna lie, in weekends i sleep even less than weekdays because having free time means i can't get in the flow with all my hobbies + meal planning + house cleaning. that's why i need to sleepmaxx weekdays

You are in luck anon. According to my fitbit i average 8-9 hours of bedtime a night with an average sleep score of 80. I used to regularly get 4-5 hours of sleep and was constantly tired, even catching up on weekends by sleeping 12 hours wasn't conducive to productivity during the week, mental fog starting later in the week.

    My solutions:
    1) Dedicate my bedroom to ONLY sleep. I used to have a bad habit of being on my computer up until the moment i wanted to sleep making my sleep schedule irregular and constantly keep me up past midnight. Now my bedroom door almost hypnotizes me into being sleepy. Only thing in there is my bed, my scale and a nightstand.

    2) Repainted my walls lite blue because of some study i read online about it being a relaxing color.

    3) I have three sources of light in my bedroom. a) low wattage very orange colored lights. b)Lamp with nonLED light bulb that is attached to a smart outlet that automatically turns on for 30mins starting at 5am c) Windows, i use my window near the bed to blast my face with sunlight. Otherwise all my windows are blacked out.

    4) Don't eat or drink 3 hours before bed. Yes, that means eating at 4-6pm everyday. Ever notice how you sleep weird and have weird dreams when you have big meals? Blood is going to gut and not repairing.

    5) Make sure all drugs are out of system before going to sleep. Its okay to drink or smoke weed, as long as it is COMPLETELY out of your system by bedtime. Yes, that means stop smoking weed at noon, or just stop it completely.

    6) I have a soft alarm as well as ocean sound machine that plays for 30 mins starting at 5am.

    7) I keep my bedroom at 63 degrees and have a nice think blanket. This keeps my head and feet balanced.

    8) Purchasing the purple mattress with adjustable bedframe has allowed me to sleep on my back for the first time in my whole life. I sleep in the fetal position on my back with my legs raised.

The key here is to MAX the REM sleep. 6 hours of lite sleep is almost useless. You feel tired because you are not getting deep sleep, which is the hardest to induce. Getting physically drained is the best.

the science is there. OP just wont actually take any actions that you've laid out. They just want to complain.

        Sad but probably true.

I'll add that I have smart lights in my bedroom that turn red after the sun goes down. Makes me so drowsy laying in bed in red light.

yes, this is it. you are a true legend. i literally stay in my room most of the day, but now i'll move all my operations to the living room. good thing i don't do drugs yet.
      > Don't eat or drink 3 hours before bed
i will try to have cooked something by then, but if i don't, is it worth it fasting? hunger will ruin my sleep.
      > I keep my bedroom at 63 degrees
AC is too expensive for us and i'm not sure about asking my parents for a new mattress. but i will gun for a new pillow and hypoallergenic bedding.

i know i shouldn't have a big workout at least 2 hours before sleep, though. so should i do it at 6pm and stay tired till bedtime?

i already do blue light and grayscale filters for my phone before bed but i think i'll switch to physical books.

also, what do you guys think about sleep teas? valerian, lavender, chamomile, lemon balm? i got chamomile at home but i'm not sure it's working. i'm googling side effects for the others right now

        >also, what do you guys think about sleep teas?
Anything without caffeine in it is fine. I'd worry more about doing the important sleep hygiene stuff.

        >is it worth it fasting?
Fasting is fantastic. I sometimes only eat two meals a day. Another tool in the food belt is Raw Organic Meal Replacement Protein Powder by Garden of Life. Don't use shitty meal replacement shakes.
        > hypoallergenic bedding.
100% cotton only! Cotton is King for all!
        >but what about working out
The best time of day to workout is right when you wake up. Chug some water and pretend you are taking down an Elk to eat for breakfast.
I do pull ups before i take a shower and then go to bed.
        > i think i'll switch to physical books
Books are gay and ruin your eyes / mind. The last thing you want to do is stir your subconscious and mix in random shit that isn't part of your daily life OR part of the daily life you want to attain (manifestation sort of, autobiographical audiobooks). I personally enjoy going to sleep and waking up to Dr.Joe Dispenza meditations which should be on apple music or free on youtube.

        >sleep teas
Tart cherries also contain melatonin, and even drinking tart cherry juice increases melatonin available in the body. Increasing your intake of melatonin is likely to prompt you to fall asleep quicker and experience better sleep quality. If thats too hard to find or you need something a bit stronger, try whole milk which has tryptophan and melatonin. If youre feeling crazy get 100% cacao chocolate and mix it with the milk while heating up to make a sleep time hot chocolate.

I feel you on not being able to afford a new mattress or bed, they are unreasonably expensive. I spent a very long time sleeping on inflatable beds or ikea foam beds until i heard an Andrew Yang line referring to the problems with healthcare, something along the lines of "We will pay thousands of dollars on surgery, medications and therapy yet we won't invest in preventative care, like a nice mattress." Some mattresses are covered by insurance.

Not OP but I used to never snore and now I do almost every night for an hour. It wakes me up. It's not obstructive sleep apnea, my snore tracking app records me and I'm not choking and gasping for air, just sawing logs until it wakes me up.

I've tried not eating within 4 hours of bed, I think that helps a little. I've tried sleeping on a double pillow (I'm a side and back sleeper), I think that helps a little. But I still snore and wake up in the middle of the night from it and am tired all day.

I wear dental retainers and I have developed a theory that they push my tongue back far enough to snore. I want to try not wearing them but I grind the frick out of my teeth at night so that's not really an option.

Sometimes I feel like my poor sleep will be the death of me.

I sleep 9 hours a night for the past 2 weeks. I wake up feeling great, have coffee anyways because I enjoy it and it let's me start working 30 minutes later (don't have any on weekend though), and I don't feel tired the entire day. When I go to bed I don't even feel tired, but I'm out quickly.

Having more energy during your day is the fricking dream it’s no minor thing you’re over sensitive to. You gotta live a life and surround yourself with people who give you energy and you share it back. More energy=more life it’s literally the biggest goal of fitness. Do spontaneous shit or mix up your daily routine, more energy is so important, if you like where your life trajectory is going, you’ll have more energy. It’s not some minor, lol put an AC in your room, it’s a get your life going homie be a true player or you’ll suffer.

Well I do drink coffee, but I feel fine most of the time. It used to not be like this in the past, when I would feel like a zombie every day I had to wake up to an alarm.
I did just the good ol work out, go outside, eat healthy and it's been years since I've felt lethargic or exhausted for no reason.

I live in my house out in the woods. There’s literally no other sound than nature here. I go to bed when it’s dark outside and my sleep never gets interrupted. I’m pretty much never tired unless I have to travel due to work.
