Is it over?

Bros.. I was trying to do L-sit pull ups then I heard a loud crunch like when you twist a celery stick on my right arm. I was feeling alright, bit weak but I nothing serious I thought. It's now the second day and I feel a shap pain whenever I try to sleep on my side but aside from that I feel fine, I'm trying to be careful and not exert my arm since the incident and maybe wait for a week or two before going back to the gym. Unironically, should I see a doctor?

Sounds like you've ruptured your spleen, go to an ER.

Is the pain where the picture is? The shoulder is a complex joint, unfortunately you're going to need in person evaluation by a trained PT or doctor with some sports medicine expertise.

I thought you people said pull ups weren't dangerous?

Pull up puts much more stress on the shoulders, elbows and wrists. I used to injure my elbow doing pull ups.

chin up and neutral grip are fine though.

Pullups are not dangerous. There should be no "hunching" at any point in any pullup. OP is a moron

It's really hard to pinpoint exactly where but it's just under my side delts. I tried rotational exercises, arm raises and twists and I still can't reliably pinpoint the where and what triggers the pain.

I thought you people said pull ups weren't dangerous?

I was trying L-Sits pulls, so I was kinda doing a mid-air dip while hunched over.

What the frick are you even talking about? Sounds like you were doing something absolutely moronic that nobody has ever said to do and you paid the price. Post an example of what you think you were doing or draw a picture

Okay so you injured yourself doing something that nobody could call a pullup. That's not an L shape it's a fricking C.

The shoulders don't move like that at all, you literally did the equivalent of stretching your arms overhead and directly out behind you with palms up and trying to lift heavy load.. What the frick were you thinking? Have you ever seen proper form? Why did you try to do an exercise that you don't have flexibility for? Are you a hunchback?

I really hope for your sake that you're trolling. If not watch some videos on proper form and yes you may need to go to a legit PT. Make sure to show them this drawing and they might give you a discount for making them laugh, because while I don't wish a shoulder injury on anyone that is one of the funniest images I've seen on IST in a long time.

I know proper form, I do 2 plate weighted, chest to bar. I just tried doing L-Sits without stretching and it fricked me up.

                >"I know proper form"
Thanks for the laffs mate, I'm not even gonna ask you to post body because I know this is all one big giggle

could be a partial tear or ruptured cartilage. you should do warm compresses and avoid loading it for a week or so and see how it feels, then determine if you want to visit the doctor
