Yes. But you get max results at minimum contraction.
Also there's no way to measure progress.

They only work going about 15° of a joint angle in either direction away from where you're practicing the isometric. They'll make you really strong but you need to be smart about it or they'll be nearly worthless

Am I supposed to believe this homosexual bent that bar into 2 perfect right angles without so much as a crease in the metal?
Is that what you homosexuals believe?

are you trolling? he was talking about doing overcoming isometrics.
eg. you're tensing your muscles trying to do a thing you physically can't do.

isometrics are the best way to increase strength in the short term (1-3 months) past that if you want to get stronger you need to add in traditional concentric/eccentric.

Growing up it was some of the first things I did. I did full body isometrics every single day and nothing else. I was able to do neck bridges on my head and all that, muscles were solid as steel buuuuut. I wasn't that strong considering. Maybe average? I think isometrics can be very beneficial if you use it to enhance existing muscle not to try to build muscle like I was. Hell I got more progress out of doing stronglifts 5x5 in a few months than a year of doing iso every day. Just my opinion, iso should be used in tandem with your workouts not exclusively iso

Yes, but in a different way.
Isometrics will develop your maximal strength but only for within a 30deg range of motion of your position.
Isometrics will give you muscular endurance better than doing reps. But doings reps will make you better at actually moving things. Do conventional lifts and supplement with isometrics obviously.

No and he didn't use isometrics to get there either. Stop being so fricking gullible, guys.

You cannot maximumly contract your muscles isometrically because the force you're applying is entirely voluntary. This violates the Henneman size principle which is how your body only recruits exactly the amount of motor units needed to perform the task and no more. This is literally the same thing as that Charles Atlas dynamic tension training that he himself admitted he never used and the whole thing was a scam. It's funny how cyclical these fitness scams, like the bioneer uses, work.

It's annoying because I'm seeing this shit crop up more just like how a year ago everyone wanted to do box jumps and get rid of lifting weights because it's too hard.
