Look, this isn't some frustrated incel take. I was an anorexic emo kid in high school with a gaunt moviestar face and eyes that popped like an anime character. 15 years later and i've added 50 lbs of by far mostly muscle, have visible 6 pack and face still almost as chiseled. I've gotten more than my fair amount of female attention and i've been in a committed relationship for almost a decade with a woman who trains with me and still fricks and/or blows me several times a week. A much more honest statement is that women can get past looks if you've got other appealing traits. The obvious ones like money or material things or social status are big ones the shallower the woman, but being socially confident or seeming like a leader, making them laugh, standing out in some way that appeals to them and reminds them of some fantasy or movie they once loved, etc, whatever it is, can stand in for your looks assuming the looks aren't too bad.
"I like dad bods" is more realistically "I'm totally willing to tolerate a dad bod if he is otherwise exceptional." But she would still prefer that man be more attractive.
