Why do, almost exclusively, White people do this whole self acceptance cope thing after they grey, bald, or age? Do what Black folk, spics, arabs, pajeets, and assorted asiatics do and either stop it before it happens or fake it to you make it.
    >they lose their hair at 2/3rds the rate and not nearly as early but do something about nonetheless when the issue arrises

Sikhs normally go bald from traction alopecia. I'm a Punjabi, and every older guy in my family has a full head of (very long) hair, but the older guys have thin hair that is receded specifically because of tying it up really tight every day

What does drinking have to do with balding? I understand excessive drinking can age you more quickly compared to sobriety but not to the degree that balding impacts your appearance. Being an egghead at 28 dries pussies like the sahara unless you have a good face, at which point hair doesn’t matter as much anyway.

my comment was more to do with aging. the guy in the picture looks so old not because he's bald (although it doesn't help) but because of his poor lifestyle choices.

        Anonymous

not really, that's just genes, I eat processed goyslop all my life, smoke cigarettes, and didn't touch a weight until 2 years ago and I look 10 years younger than that guy at the same age

      Anonymous

I think its the balding + freckling that does it to this guy. People always thought I was much older due to my stature and hairline+goatee. They just thought I looked too much like a man to be late teens early 20s

      Anonymous

That's why going bald is a death sentence. No matter your age, you automatically look like a middle-aged schlub. Conversely, all the guys who "age like fine wine" have thick full heads of hair

  3. 11 months ago
    Anonymous

If you're starting to bald at 40+, you're fine

If you're starting to bald at 30, you're good and it will be a slow process

If you're starting to bald 25, you're in the danger zone but meds can save you still

If you're starting to bald at 20, you're out of luck. Meds might do only so much and you would want to consider a hair transplant

If you're starting to bald 18 or lower, it's over

      Anonymous

I don’t think the age really matters in regards to how well treatment will work. A NW3 20yo and a NW3 40yo will respond to treatment the same way. The only difference is the 20 year olds life will be ruined by baldness but it’s pretty normal for a 40yo to lose hair

        Anonymous

I'm not so sure of that. Essentially 99% of men have SOME degree of thinning eventually. Even older guys who never go bald still typically thin out or have some recession. Guys like Ronald Reagan are total outliers.
With that in mind, I believe there's a correlation between onset of balding and how aggressive it is. If a guy starts the first signs of slight thinning in his 30s/40s, its probably just a slow gradual thing that will probably stabilize without going full NW7 horseshoe. But the guys who start in their late teens and early 20s? They're the ones who end up going full chrome dome

Fin 1mg a day which is standard. Minox 5% is either taking topically 2 times per day orally once a day, however the oral version could potentially increase your resting heart rate.

My advise would be to start with fin right away and see if it yields any results within the first six months before hopping on min.

1mg is proving to yield the best results but 0.5mg works as well in most cases. I suffer no side effects so i'm not taking any chances. I don't use minoxidil currently.

you have to understand blood flow. your front of the top of the head doesnt get good blood flow. thats why mens sides and back dont go bald first in most cases.
if you just slap a bunch of new hair on top your gonna have the same issue. the DHT is going to shrik your pores mixed with lack of blood circulation. then boom. bald again. even after implants your still gonna need to pop fin.
so why pay for expensive surgery just to come to the same conclusion that you should take the fin.

                >you have to understand blood flow
literally the one and only cause of balding thats why oral minox can overpower DHT atleast for a while, it increases blood flow so much that not even the reduction of bf from DHT will make the hair die.

                Anonymous

Blood flow is a meme that got debunked by hair transplant experiments 50 years ago.

anyone who does minox, when you stop using it, does the hair that's grown back stay or does it thin/fall out?

You never stop using minoxidil. And without finasteride/dutasteride the effect only lasts for two years.

All the balding demoralization threads actually put it on my radar. I realized I was starting to bald and started dermapen and minoxidil and am doing better than nearly everyone my age that I know

Ok just note that derma-rolling and minoxidil won't actually help stop balding. They'll only mask it. The only way to stop the root cause of balding which is DHT killing off your hair follicles slowly is by taking finasteride.

I'm mid 20s, and nearly everyone I knew in school looks worse. Just health wise in general. Balding, loss of muscle for the athletes, most of them are fat. One guy I knew who was relatively lean, decently athletic, is now an absolute bloat lord and buzzes his hair from balding. I was a fatty in school and still could be a lot better (15% bf, and did a good bulk over fall/winter) but I swear I mog most of my former class mates. Even the women look like shit now. The only one I can think of that actually looks better is this weeb girl I went on a few dates with. Nah, balding is the same. When my dad was in the millitary in the 70's, like a half of the guys there already had receding hairlines and they were all 19 or 20. The largest difference from today is that most of these guys already had a wife and a kid tho, so they didn't give a shit about going bald.

What is this moronic modern idea that growing a beard is a or some targeted decision that you're making in the same way that women wear makeup for example? Men just naturally grow beards. If anything shaving is more of a conscious choice, you have to upkeep a shaven face every few days. Why am I being looked at as a coping homosexual for simply letting the hair on my face grow normally as men have done for millenia and was the norm up until the past 100 years or so?

Adding to what this anon said (

Cos it takes skill to apply them and the market has been cornered by a few barbers that charge exorbitant prices for it.

), toupees are a Giffen good. The reason the market got cornered by a small number of barbers is BECAUSE they charge huge prices. People soon developed the perception that an expensive toupee is good, and a cheap toupee is bad, even though you're paying for the exact same product. The people who manufacture toupees know this, and increased their prices accordingly. This means that any barber who wants to enter the toupee market has to deal with the enormous financial barrier to entry.

Society has evolved and women have more freedoms than ever before which means they can (and will) select against bald men. Why accept a handicap like that when you can just take finasteride and stop DHT from ravaging your hair, prostate, hair and brain (there's increasing evidence that blocking 5AR-2 gives you a longevity advantage)?

Side effects are rare and can be mitigated by either powering through (don't be a b***h) or lowering the dose. As long as you have hair, you maintain your vitality. Without your hair, you'll just look like a diseased animal and women will avoid you like the plague. The only reason why you're shilling against finasteride is because you're bald and want other people to be as miserable as you.

No, 1% chance of mild sexual side effects or depression from fin which either resolves by dose tiltration or failing that, getting off finasteride and waiting three months for sides to resolve. 100% of side effects will resolve as proven by 50 years of research and the CDC reiterating once again this year that there's no persistent side effects on finasteride. The Japanese 10 year follow up study even indicates that finasteride users had a lower incidence of ED than the general male populations. Besides, even if you do get ED (which is pretty common, especially once you get over the age of 40 even without finasteride), you can just take low dose tadalafil and your dick will stay hard until you die of old age.
If you're basing your life decisions off lies about finasteride you're losing.

                >50 years of research
Finasteride has 50 years of research behind it starting with the children observed in the Dominician Republican who lacked 5ar-2 and never lost any hair. Over 30 years, finasteride was released for the general public and has been on the CDC monitor since then. There also were two major 10 year long follow up studies in Japan and Italy where the safety and efficiacy of finasteride was monitored.
                >hair cafe's unwatchable videos are the proof i need he's a moron
So you don't like him because he makes you angry (presumably because you're bald and he makes fun of people like you). The data he presents is cited in his comments.
                >stay fertile fincel
I'm pretty fertile, unlike you baldcel.
After all, finasteride does not affect fertility since spermiogenesis can be maintained by testosterone alone.

Observational data from Sweden at least indicates that men with enlarged prostates who take finasteride or dutasteride lived an average of 5-6 years longer than the average male population. This might be due to DHT's negative effect on your heart, brain and prostate. So you're effectively already taking anti-aging medication.

He's also fat, unhygenic and has rotten teeth. Despite that, he regularly has sex with dozens of blonde 10/10 women at the same time. His trick? CONFIDENCE BRO. Women don't care about looks, money or anything else other than CONFIDENCE BRO.

    Lament of a balding man:

In the prime of youth, his heart ablaze,
Yet fate played a cruel hand, it seems,
For upon his crown, a grievous haze,
A torment that haunts his very dreams.

Oh, wretched mirror, revealer of truth,
Reflecting the plight he can't deny,
A receding hairline, stark and uncouth,
Silent tears concealed within his eye.

In the tender years of life's grand dance,
He finds himself robbed of his flowing mane,
Like autumn's leaves, in a hapless trance,
His hopes and confidence begin to wane.

No more cascading locks of raven black,
No crown of glory to adorn his head,
A bitter jest, a relentless attack,
As youth's allure slips through fingers spread.

He mourns the loss of his youthful guise,
Once vibrant strands now bid their farewell,
And gazing upon the fading sunrise,
His heart is filled with an anguished knell.

But within this sorrow, a truth awakes,
A deeper beauty that lies unseen,
For character and strength are what makes,
A man's true essence, forever keen.

His spirit, resilient, strong and bold,
Transcends the veil of fleeting disguise,
With wisdom and grace, his worth unfolds,
A soul that shines, though follicles demise.

For beauty resides in his steadfast soul,
In every laugh, every heartfelt smile,
His courage unyielding, makes him whole,
Though fate may take, it can't defile.

So let him weep for the strands once there,
And mourn the loss that time imparts,
But know, dear man, you're beyond compare,
With or without the strands of your heart.

Embrace the change that life's journey brings,
For bald or not, your essence remains,
A poetic spirit that eternally sings,
The tale of a man, where true beauty reigns.

    Kind of.
Hairloss is caused by hair follicles sensitivity to DHT which is determined by genetics.
    Lifting will increase your testosterone.
    Testosterone gets changed to DHT.
So lifting indirectly increases DHT, which might push it to the levels where it causes you to lose hair.
But for vast majority of men this will change nothing, and they would stay hairy/losing hair regardless of lifting.

No issue so far after 1 month.
      Currently fat. (25-30%).
      27, norwood 2 or 3 not sure.

I am okay with going bald. I don't really care about women, but I do want my hair until at least 30, 35 or so.
For me, growing older is causing my hair loss. Had super thick hair as a teen, but all my male relatives on one side are bald so I knew it was going to happen.

It's healthier to over accept it.
I won't, but I am happy they are feeling that way rather then incel doom coping.

I wanna start finasteride, but it isn't easy. I can't get a doctor on my insurance to prescribe it, even my derm wouldn't give me fin, they're all scared of getting sued and just say to use minoxidil which I've been using and isn't stopping my hair loss. My only option left is to get it from some bullshit online pharmacy, which I really don't wanna do, but I don't see any other option. Worse yet, I can't get my bloodwork prior to starting fin unless I pay out the ass to some online lab place, like Marek Health. I wanna make sure my androgen to estrogen ratios are alright before I jump into this shit.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm in the US

No ones getting sued over finasteride since it’s FDA approved therefore doctors can’t be held liable for it. If your doctors happen to be bald boomers, just get a prescription off the internet.

I'm concerned about my androgen to estrogen ratios already being off. I'm not fat, but it just concerns me. Blood tests are a good preventative measure, worst case I could take an aromatase inhibitor alongside finasteride. But I don't wanna start it without knowing where i'm
