Pre-workout is useless and a waste of money. Just efficient marketing aimed at gullible people (in this case, you). But now you know, stop wasting your money.

Is right, this is literally all you need. That's if you really want something, you don't really need to ingest anything before working out.

You don't really need some kind of special expensive powder to workout. Coffee or tea is fine, or just water and sheer willpower.

Preworkout can have some sketchy or unknown chemicals, as the FDA has light regulations on nutritional supplements. Some have stimulants, or just caffeine, among other things. They have all kinds of crazy claims and marketing to try and sell their product.

A lot of whey protein is just whey, a byproduct of cheesemaking, with added sugars and flavors and a price markup. Whey is a food, and you can source protein from foods like meat, eggs, peanut butter without protein powder.

Yes, it really works, but you need to know what’s in it to know if it’ll work well for you/ in the way you’d like it to work, or not. Not a money sink imho, and in fact more cost-effective than most alternatives.

Yes, pre-workout works. It's caffeine mixed with other ingredients that help your blood collect oxygen, which allows you to usually do a few more reps. Some of them have creatine as well.

Don't take it every day, especially if you drink coffee. And don't do that stupid shit you see "influencers" on YouTube doing, like doing 2 - 3 scoops, or eating the powder. Only take 1 serving.

you can usually make your own preworkout for much cheaper than the stuff you can buy. Just make sure to dose the ingredients correctly and to mix everything well if youre making a big batch at once.
I like mutant madness bcs its cheap and has a lot of caffeine, but you can probably get away with mixing coffee, honey, and salt

Been doing two scoops of whatever pre has the highest caffeine content for the last two and a half years, no noticeable side effects. It helps me - but most people here are right that some coffee and fruit could do the trick.
