Is their any truth to this shit at all or is it all cope for lazy people?

Obviously genetics plays some role, but it simply can’t be true you are just automatically locked in to a body type, right?

somatotyping is quackery. the original hypothesis attempts to draw parallels between mentality types and body types. it was misinterpreted and (re)popularized by a fitness magazine writer for clicks.

Yes, it's true. You can't change your bones. You can build muscle and neglect others to shape yourself though. And these categories are just made up, but have some truth to them.

That being said, which category am I?

Let me dial that back: it’s possible it’s not your fault and you were just poisoned by decades of intentional environmental disruption to your endocrine system caused by the [censored]. In such a case you have my deepest sympathy for the challenges you face but maybe you should at least attempt a push-up for once in your life.

I'm doing my best. I can do a lot of pullups now but I keep fricking up my scapula or rhomboid or whatever when I lift. I think it's because of my sculliosis

Jesus man what part of “do a fricking push-up” did you miss?

Start on your knees instead of your toes if you have to. Just go down slowly a few times if you can’t actually push up. Maybe just strain yourself isometrically trying to push up if you can’t make it. But frick man at least try.

I don’t want to be too nice to you because frick man get it together, but also realize you are still ahead of the game.

Stop taking additional estrogen, there is already enough in your food and water to turn you into a girl.

I am not the most knowledgeable person on this. In fact, the rest of this post is more of my imagination than hard evidence. I hope you will read it anyways, it may resonate with you.

First off is processed food. Just don’t, if you can. I eat it too but reducing it definitely will not hurt you no matter how moronic or racist or schizophrenic I am.
You understand intuitively that when I say “eat less processed food” I am giving good advice. That’s built into your soul

I believe it is very difficult for them to poison unprocessed meat products. That doesn’t mean the meat is estrogen free, it’s just that there are limits on how much you can poison an animal in the hopes that eating the animal also poisons the eater without killing the animal before it is fit to eat.

                Eat more meat.

Water. It’s poisoned, but even unpoisoned water can be bad for you depending on where you live. You should at least be drinking filtered water (this won’t help with estrogen or many other issues).
Consider trying reverse osmosis water. There are plenty of warnings against this for various reasons of various quality, but depending on how easily and where you place your trust, there are available solutions for the most realistic and scientifically backed criticisms of long-term ROW consumption. You can research and discern for yourself which additive you want in your water. This may seem like a lot of work, but are you really better off letting someone else do it for you?

                Up to you to decide.

Be wary of ALL diet plans not focused on macros. If they are insistent on a specific food, it doesn’t mean they are wrong, but you should immediately be suspicious. Why does this diet want me to never eat meat? Why does this diet always want me to eat onions?

Be suspicious of specifics when it comes to diet. (Cont)

                both.

I hope you kept reading, because I saved the only part I know factually matters and will actually 100% improve all areas of your general health (not for dedicated power lifters/bodybuilders/aestheticmaxxers)

Intermittent fasting. You aren’t supposed to be eating all fricking day. I’m not going to write a fricking novel but do two things: search intermittent fasting and read about it. Next, start searching [health problem you have] + intermittent fasting.

I would bet half my net worth that more than 75% of the time you will find scholarly articles suggesting that intermittent fasting has some positive benefit (not necessarily a silver bullet) to the problem you have.

I can’t actually promise you that IF will solve your estrogen problem…
Oh wait I can because I just searched it and it benefits your testosterone production.
Some articles say it reduces test, but “with no negative effects on strength or muscle building”, which I suggest means you are actively utilizing what little test your poisoned body has left.

Intermittent fasting is not only the most effective thing you could do, it’s the easiest. You literally just wait longer until you eat. You don’t have to buy special food or follow a plan or get expensive filtration devices, you literally just fricking wait.

It is so free and so beneficial I hope you don’t trust me and instead read more about it on your own, so I’m going to stop now.

Okay so obviously bones are bones. A guy won’t change a shoulder or a girl her hips.

But these body types aren’t exactly sold as skeletal configurations, but “natural body types” as far as fat and muscle distribution and potential goes.

Frame and metabolism plays a role in which aesthetics are most easily achievable for sure, but there is no fat by default, or skinny fat body type in nature before civilization enabled people to stay in their homes playing vidya and stuffing their faces all day. Short of having some legitimate disease or being malnourished, gaining enough muscle to satisfy most people is doable for most people. Not being fat is doable for 100% of the population.

    These three are like:
one is A tier being lean and B tier gaining weight, one is A tier gaining and B tier cutting, and the middle is A/A tier.
That mild disadvantage one way or the other is hardly insurmountable.
Of course, fitness industry sorts will take this 3 body type chart and bullshit it claiming it's actually more like A/D and A/D for the Endos and Ectos, but they have the cope right here +in their new book. And Meso is S/S, which explains how they're totally natty benching 4pl8 lean, bro.

Do you think for people with zero awareness of diet and zero attempt to exercise can be GENETICALLY sorted into these groups, or is it just lifestyle and diet?

        Anonymous

Yes, because people are genetically determined to store fat in different places faster more than others. But these groups are about bone structure mostly.

Just to clarify your opinion: if a dozen x/y/zmorphs we’re all forced onto the exact same diet and exercise plan for ten years, do you believe they would all still be visually classified into the same groups as when they started?

            Anonymous

To add, or do you think they would all be classified into the same exact group?

            For extreme example:
3000 calories/day no excercise = “oh wow they all became endomorphs!”

No and no. Your bone structure and fat distribution are non changeable, unless you count surgery. Muscle development is mostly changeable, but inserts and other factors do determine what muscles look like.

Everybody has a skeletal frame and a genetic disposition to add fat in some places, but types are bullshit.
You can move from one type to an other with dieting and training, how does it make any sense to assign a type to people?
