is there a bigger meme than PPL for natty beginners?
it promises hyperatrophy but only gives unrecoverable workouts
in reality it is only meant for roidphr34k5

what's wrong with PPL? i need more time to recover my legs so i'm thinking of going from arm day/leg day to PPL
>eat 5 servings of fruit & veg in 4 weeks
Yeah I can do this
a bi-weekly apple keeps the doctor
>challenge
Laughing my balls off, over here.
Same. I have been doing the challenge (without having been challenged) since October 2022.
this is for normie zoomers, single millennial moms, and freshly divorced 42 year old men to post on Facebook and say "time to make a change" with the flex emoji because they've never done anything difficult in their life and to them it seems insurmountable.
ywnbaw
same
this is what's considered a challenge for normalgays
unfathomably grim
I already do all this except eat vegetables. Plants are generally pretty toxic
I only eat spinach and broccoli.
Tooksik anti nootriants
add no vaping for the zoomies
Same, except had to skip workouts last week. I was focused on getting GF moved into my house. I've dropped ~5lbs from all the sweating and lifting.
I literally eat 4 burgers 10 bud lights 20 dozen donuts 5 tubs of peanut butter core ben and jerrys a day
I don't know about that but I'm doing a 5x5 full body 3 times a week and I can recover just fine and I'm hitting a PR almost every day.
>no cheeseburgers
>have to eat 5 servings of fruit
>hyperatrophy
I know what you meant to say but still...
bros i'm scared tell me this isn't real?
>"what a great push workout"
>muscles dissolve in seconds
>catabolic window
>australian deadlifts
Audible kek
Wouldn't cakes and doughnuts be covered under sweets?
I wish i could kill the Black folk that shilled 6x/week ppl to my moronic dyel ass as a teen, made nearly no progress
tell me more, what was wrong and how did you fix it
That's my lifestyle except for the fruits. I fricking hate fruit.
>no chips or burgers
Nope.
>no soda or alcohol
Easy.
>no cakes or doughnuts
Nope.
>no ice cream or sweets
I eat donuts.
>workout 3 times per week
I average 4.
>5 servings of fruits & veg
Every day? Maybe.
>drink 2L of water a day
Probably not quite.
>sleep a min of 6 hrs/day
I usually get just about 6.
Fatty. You lack discipline
6 day PPL is the worst split; natty or fraud.
3 day PPL is one of the best.
3 day? elucidate me. isnt that just a full body routine?
without a alarm clock in the morning i cant sleep at night at all oddly enough.
>isnt that just a full body routine?
Uh, no.
I said 3 day PPL. PxPxLxx
>3 day PPL is one of the best.
lol
hitting muscle group once a week is not enough
The reddit strike is over.
You should go back.
That's why you swim on the off days
>6h a day is considered anywhere near enough
I already do everything in OPs picrel
Also
>6hrs of sleep is the normal now
It's over
6 hours is crazy low amount of sleep to be sleeping on the regular, people should sleep as long as it takes for them to wake up naturally
forcing yourself up with a clock just to hit artificial limits will take you to an early grave
people who could sleep for 8-10 hours and force themselves up 2-4 hours earlier because they want exactly 6 hours are mad
For some reason I naturally wake up at the 6 hour mark. Like, I can go back to sleep if I want but if I just naturally wake up I’m good for the whole day without feeling tired. Starting to think either 8 hours is a meme or some people just have different sleep requirements.
you might feel good in the moment, but in the long run its going to wreck your body, if you absolutely can't sleep longer after you wake up, forcing it is just as bad
It's always young people in their 20's who think they're invincible and utter things like "I can eat McDonalds 3 times a day every single day and I feel completely fine, therefore fast food is not bad for you"
Aging is the greatest wake-up call.
One of the funny things about sleep deprivation is people don't recognize it. There have been extensive studies demonstrating that people on 6 hours of sleep don't perform as well as 7+ hours. Many of the studies also state that the 6 hour cohorts don't realize they perform worse until it's shown to them.
For me
>6 hours will allow me to gut hrough the day but I feel bad at the end and don't work as well
>7 is my normal
>8-10 if I need to heal from a hardcore workout of if I've been grinding more than normal
same here bro i also outperform everyone at work and the gym
some people just have shitty genetics and recovery and need to sleep more
There just isn't enough time in the day to do everything I want to do and still hold my job, even when cutting sleep short. I know it's bad for me but it's a habit that's hard to break.
>set alarm
>consistently wake up within 1-3 minutes of the alarm, sometimes waking up within seconds to turn my alarm off before it starts blaring
>forget to set alarm
>ALWAYS wake up 30-60 minutes later than I'd like
What does it mean?
I think you hate the alarm noise, so your brain is waking you up to avoid the alarm but doesn’t actually care what time it is.
>some people just have different sleep requirements.
Some people just have bad sleeping environments. My sister lives in an inner city apartment with shitty neighbors. Kids running around all day. Adults yelling at each other and slamming doors. Dogs crying because their owners keep them locked up all day in cage.
For me, I used to sleep inside a stair closet. I'd sleep for 14 hours and still feel like shit. Then I moved into a 10'x10' room and got down to 10-12 hours. I moved to a nicer house and got down to 8-10 hours. I started to do spinal decompression exercises and am now at 7-9 hours. If I start doing breathing exercises and fix my snoring, I could probably get down to 6-8 hours.
Just minmax your sleeping conditions. Air quality, noise, light, temperature, sleeping positions, etc.
>Pic rel
Depends if they count sugar-free /sips/ as soda.
>Picrel
>This is a challenge for amerilards
>unrecoverable workouts
Maybe you should have just ate right and slept right lol. PPL worked out great for me
>is there a bigger meme than PPL for natty beginners?
The thing about strength training is you have loads of different experience levels doing basic barbell movements. Total newbies, advanced juicehead monsters and everything inbetween. With ppl you have ngmi dyels and juice heads, and other then the fricktard dimwits that dont know how to diet/cycle properly (lmao killing urself for no gains)there's just no inbetween
>Challenge
Easy feat, senpai.
Nope, I do these except for the fruit and veg.
>no chips or burgers
Easy
>no alcohol
Hard, but doable
>no donuts
My gf loves them but otherwise I don't eat them at all
>no ice cream or sweets
Easy
>work out three times per week
Do more than that
>5 servings of fruits and vegs
Easy and pointless. The real challenge is to hit macros every day.
>2l of water every day
That's a frickload. There's no way I can forfefeed myself that much liquid. Would totally fail here.
>sleep 6 hrs
Easy
>That's a frickload. There's no way I can forfefeed myself that much liquid. Would totally fail here
are you meme-ing? I drink that much water before noon. typically 4-5 liters per day.
2l of water is roughly four 16.9-ounce water bottles a day, which are the standard normal-sized water bottles in America. It's actually smaller than I imagined.
ULxULpullx or ULPxUxx or PPLPP or PPLx PPLx
I like U/L more but my U days take 90 minutes and my L days take 45, this is with super setting. I also feel literally fricking moronic after working out and Legs takes 4 days for me to recover so for me the "ideal routine" would be ULPxULPx but I try not to gymcel so i skip legs 2 (dont even need it)
I like burgers quite a bit. I don’t see how they’re worse than many other foods btw. How is it worse than meatloaf?
Only 3 workouts per week? Would be tough, especially if they included cardio in that.
I hit 1/2/3/4 doing SL 5x5 and now I'm switching to PHUL while cutting, aiming to lose 40-50 lbs.
Does this sound like a good strategy?
>only 4 weeks
That's called a fad diet.
>don't do PPL, it is too heavy for beginners
>instead, focus 90% of your workouts on your legs
>do not do curls, as this wastes energy you could be using for getting your legs bigger
PPL does not have a set total volume, there are different programs with different amounts of volume. If it is too high, just lower leg volume
>5 servings of fruit and veg a day
literally vegan propaganda
kys OP
>Scott Murray
I feel like everyone is forgetting who this guy was, and why it makes sense that he makes this moronic ass challenge. Frick this guy and his moronic cravings and overtraining.
I already do all this everyday, every week. This isn't even a challenge it's just a healthy lifestyle.
I'm doing this thing where I basically do Torso, Lower, Arm+Shoulders, and take off days as needed. I don't have the equipment to do legs at home so I'm forced to make a specific day for legs, otherwise, I'd just alternate between two full-body days. On my torso day I also do a little arm isolation, but it focuses on compounds.
pro tip for brosplit argument homosexuals spamming “muh 2x/week because hodgetwins said so 12 years ago”
STOP BREAKING YOUR ROUTINE DOWN INTO 7 DAYS
DEVELOP A PATTERN WHICH INCLUDES ADEQUATE LIFTING, REST AND CARDIO
ROTATE THROUGH THE PATTERN
IF YOU NEED TO SKIP A DAY FINE
JUST MOVE THE PATTERN BY A DAY
SIMPLE AS
