Is there a chest squeeze exercise that I can do with free weights only and that's not just a static hold like picrel?

Flys produce zero tension on top.

Try to bring your elbows together. You will feel the squeeze

The dumbbell fly? Also that hold seems like shit for chest, it's too limited by delts needing to hold the plates up.

I know, another reason why this exercise is bad.

I need something that puts the tension at the top of the movement and is not static.
Pretty much a free weight equivalent to the fly machine.

Maybe do flys on your side. It'll be unilateral but the top will be the hardest part of the movement.

Theoretically you could do a double landmine with 2 barbells, 1 barbell in each hand, each with one end in your grip and the other end on the floor.

But beyond that there is no exercise like you're looking for, if you're actually serious then bite the bullet and use the cable machine for cable flies.

Do that exact thing, but on a bench like a bench press. I call it a pinch press.

      It's still a static hold.
But the motivation to not let go would be high, lol.

    Hex press / squeeze press?
Lie on bench, incline optional, holding two dumbbells together over your chest. Squeeze the two dumbbells together as you press.

If you compress while doing pull-overs you will get more pec activation.

I just lean on the barbell after a heavy set and squeeze like a mother fricker.

Do picrel but lying on a bench and lifting the plate up (away from chest) and down (back to chest). Feels super good the pump is insane just be careful not to drop it.
