The point is to increase your v02max. Not to burn calories or whatever. HIIT is better than endurance cardio for this.
I can't imagine swimming putting you out of breath unless you haven't done any kind of exercise in a decade.
If you don’t train your heart, putting on a lot of weight will result in you being very fatigued and much less mobile. Depends on the bulk though, less important if you’re gaining a pound every two weeks than if you’re gaining a 2 pounds a week. Got it?
outdoor cardio makes me feel good, nothing like a hike or bike ride in the mountains either alone or with 1-2 friends. if youre going through a couple week stretch without time for that stuff then quick indoor cardio keeps you in good enough shape not to slow others down.
Yeah you can do it better when you're cutting. Trying to recover from and increase performance while cutting is hell. If you get a point where you can bang out 8 miles 6 days a week without injuring yourself you can cut with really fast and get really lean easily.
Been bulking for a bit now. Been running 52-60 mile weeks last 3 weeks preparing for an ultra. This is alongside lifting obviously. Just got a hydrostatic BF test this morning and it put me at 19%, which made me sad. Thought I was a little lower bc I still have decent abs but it is what it is. Will continue bulking until race at end of October. Blah blah blah, always do cardio. My work capacity in the gym is crazy. I can superset everything and get in and out in 1 hr tops and feel like I just ran a half marathon.
yeah increased work capacity to handle more lifting volume, next question
swimming or cycling (indoor stationary trainer)?

Yeah, better heart and lung health to compensate for all the overeating.

No, if you do cardio while bulking it will just eat away the muscle youre trying to build
No. It will reduce the fat you accumulate.
Powershitting dumbass.
I remember when I used to believe that and end up being unable to perform my lifts because gassing out prematurely.
Do cardio, always.
OP is fat
I'm not fat 🙁

First serious answer from someone who's not a midwit:
No, there's no point. If you feel good after doing some cardio, great, go for it.
