Just cycle. Get a decent bike third hand that has been discarded by "gearfags" for cheap. Basically any road bike with rim brakes and aluminium frame. You don't have to wear lycra if you don't want, but if you cycle a lot then it starts to make sense.

It's more for the cooling factor and the shorts help hold everything in place as well as being able to match the amount of padding to your ass easily.. too much padding can make it hard for blood to flow everywhere it needs to and not enough just destroys your sit bones

Not him but e-bikers tend to be lazy people who go fast with no control. They are always peddling slowly with no effort.
They tend to be 50+yr old boomers wearing no helmet and riding like ass.

Just don't be a lazy retard on a bike and it's all good man.

Any advice for someone looking to snag a bike off Craigslist? Haven't biked since I was a kid but I'm 6 feet and have no clue how the sizing works.

If it's a mtb get a L since that will probably fit you well. Road bikes with metric sizing have different toptube and seat tube sizing that is precise, but still you can adjust a bike to fit you anyways with different handlebars, stems, crank length, seat setback, etc.
If you are looking at mtb's get a hardtail if you are poor/looking for a cheaper bike. Get a full suspension bike if you are serious about offroad or spending 2k+. Component quality does matter, but if you get a decent used bike it will last.

E-bikes run the gambit from people using them as electric mopeds or those just kicking in to hill climb. I think they make a lot of sense as a commuter since it allows you to get good speed, carry stuff, and avoid getting drenched in sweat. I have a bike trail near me that runs right to down town and this is the most common use. However it is virtually a motor vehicle replacement and not even casual exercise. As

said, what you end up with is people going very fast on what are effectively electric scooters, often without the awareness that they share limited space. Especially in urban bike lanes I would often prefer to see them in the road since they are keeping pace with cars.

My ass hurts everytime, how do you make your bike seat more comfy?

Definitely get padded shorts if you don't have them. For casual rides I just use the 25 dollar amazon specials and have a couple of nice one courtesy of zuccbook mart/sales. The padding moves with you. Your sit bone width, the posture on on the bike, etc. all play into comfort. It maybe worth dropping by a bike shop and getting it adjusted for you, even if it costs a bit. A correctly adjusted seat is basically a form check and once you know what it feels like when it's correct you can fix it on other bikes going forward. For starters, where on your ass does it hurt? A common one is people having their seat adjusted flat for an upright ride and then leaning forward aggressively on the bars, causing the narrow part to put pressure on their taint and cut off blood flow.
