well that wasn't a very good reason to begin with, i'm not surprised you didn't stick with it

yeah it kinda sucks as a shampoo if you have long hair. modern shampoo was invented for a reason (because plain soap sucks compared to it in long hair)

as far as it drying your skin out, idk. it's just soap. maybe you need a lotion type substance added to your soap to keep yourself from experiencing that, but that's not really a good thing imo

Almost all the soaps posted here are shit and are far too cleansing and no where nourishing enough or made with shit ingredients. You gays should just make your own soap. Some tips olive oil, beef tallow and lard are the best oils for nourishing your skin. coconut oil is very cleansing so you don’t want too much of it, but it is a good oil when combined with the aforementioned oils. If you don’t want to make your own soap then mighty white makes good soap and he is a chans lad.

For any soap snobs (like me) I have two that are my favorites. Lush brand soap out of Austin and raw goats milk soap. I have a local lady who supplies me with that but you can google and buy from anyone. Raw goats milk soap is the shit. The Lush is great but it dissolves quickly.

Last year I did a ton of research on soap and concluded that soap is not needed to keep yourself clean. Daily exfoliation in warm water with a washcloth cleans you 99.9% as well as using soap. Soap does a good job of stripping oils from your body which is better to take the stink out of your ass or pits, however, so it's worth using in those areas. Even if you don't do that it's not like you'll develop BO, you're still clean. If you do use soap do what says, use a soap with as few ingredients as possible. I only ever use soap if I know I'm getting laid and even then only on my pits/ass/taint/balls. If I had a wife or girlfriend I slept in the same bed with I'd probably use it more often though.

Looks pretty kino tbh. I’m the goats milk soapgay. I grew up using olive oil soap when I was a kid. The one we used was devoid of fragrance because my sister was allergic to literally everything (not exaggerating) so we couldn’t have fragranced soap in the house. I didn’t like the way that made me smell so I haven’t tried olive oil soap in a long time. I guess I have soap ptsd from using it in my youth.

Just lol at the Reddit masculinity soaps here.
"I wash my balls with this endocrine disrupting product because it says "masculinity", "tactical" and "bourbon whiskey" on the label. And it is black, just like my manly deodorant."
Seriously guys, watch out what you are using. Don't give these grifter companies your money just because their marketing is not woke and don't get fooled bying goysoap just because it smells masculine.

Tbh, I've used this since 2017? iirc and i've only just taken a critical look at it.
      >It lasts maybe 10 uses. Freaky how fast it melts.
      >They made the bars smaller in 2019 sneaky shrinkflation style
      >I have to a double/triple rinse to get rid of armpit BO and even then the BO comes back in 20 minutes.
      >Still get dry skin. It's all about the water temp. Anything above tepid and my skin will get dry.
      >Back acne. Not crazy, but a cyst a week for 6 years has let my back looking like a syphillitic hobo.

Just replaced this with a home made soap: 2% SDS, 10% Salycilic Acid, 10% Glycolic Acid, 10% Aloe Vera extract, 10% Magnesium Hydroxide in water. Cost me about $120 dollars for all the raw stuff, and I now have a 25 Gallon bucket of the stuff. I use maybe 2-4ml per shower so it's basically a lifetime supply. Not a SINGLE FRICKING zit, pimple, infected follicle, or flake of dandruff anywhere. BO is completely gone. I sweat less, but even then when I do sweat, after 24 hours I have 0 BO.

My skin did take a while to adjust though, had 2 weeks of peeling skin but that's expected with the glycolic acid anyways. I'm not posting brands, or anything and everything I described is simple to get in bulk raw for cheap so you know I'm not a shill for big SDS or whatever.

Good luck bros. Hope it helps.

      P.S. everything there is adjustable.
      >SDS is your detergent. Add more for stronger stripping, less for gentler cleansing. Can go down to 0.1% really. It's common in labs and there's tables of how much of it is needed to solubilize what substance.
      >Salycilic Acid is your anti inflammatory. Just aspirin really. Most acne bodywashes have it at 2%, but that's nothing. Prescription washes go to 10%, but the powder is easy to get.
      >Glycolic Acid. Chemical peel that turns over skin, and makes it inhospitable to bacteria. Spas use the stuff at 35%. 10% is sweet spot for me. Below 5% is useless.
      >Magnesium Hydroxide. Good for raising the PH of the soap and for antiperspirant action.

This is gonna sound like I'm taking the piss but can someone tell me how soap bars work? So you guys just rub it around on you or what? My whole life I used a puffy scrubber thing and liquid soap.
I got a soap bar a while ago and rubbed it on me but I didn't feel clean at all and feel like it wont remove dead skin and grime. Also I felt really starchy/tacky.

soap yourself in then use the scrubber. or mush the soap and scrubber together and move your hands around to get soap in the scrub.
that being said, are scrubbers/showergloves any good? never used it in my life but might get it if its gudd

Superfatted and titrated down to a pH of 6 with some citric acid, if you want to get fancy

all soap will dry your skin no matter what goat milk coconut olive oil they make it out of. You gotta just take less showers or not use soap (except on your pits and ass). Fish oil and vitamin A will also keep your skin not dry and healthy

I'm bald, and when I shower I use a soap for everything.
I find it perfect, except for the balls. You see, when I train, I get really sweaty, and my underballs stench doesn't come off with just normal soap, I need to use proper ball/wiener/vegana gel soap, which does the job.
I tried neutro Roberts, dove, other brands, they all can't properly wash off the hideous ballsack aroma properly.
    Any suggestions?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good moisturiser? I have IBS so the skin on my hands is very dry and cracks from washing them often. I've tried a few different ones but most of them don't do much to help, and just make my hands greasy.

Use real shampoo and soap not trash. Plenty of info in this thread. Good that your deodorant is aluminum free, but antiperspirants in general aren't great for your body. Never used pomade. Toothpaste is case by case, some people respond better to toothpastes with hydroxyapatite as the primary remineralizer instead of fluoride. Some people use herbal toothpaste without any form of remineralizer and do well with that.

        thanks I will sir
        >antiperspirants in general aren't great for your body
what do you use for deodorant then? I stink if I don't use one

I use an aluminum free deodorant without anti-perspirant in it. I don't really sweat much though, if you're prone to sweating and armpit stink then maybe anti-perspirant is worth. Never used pomade as I lost my hair young.

For my hands, and I wash my hands too much, probably OCD, I use a savon de marseille/bar soap.
