Former vegan here who went through extensive health check up last year and has 10 years of blood test results for monitoring. I was told I was one of the healthiest people they had ever seen. Skinny fragile weak looking vegans are like that by choice and not something guaranteed to happen while vegan. The men tend to be beta leftist homosexuals who look down on muscular strong men, so they try to look as weak and dainty as possible on purpose. There are buff vegans, but usually they're more on the conservative side. I'm not vegan anymore, because now I drink 0.5-1.5 liter of raw milk a day and one teaspoon of raw honey a day. I'll only start eating meat again if it's straight from the farmer or if it's hunted. Fishing for fish, obviously and I'm probably never going to eat eggs, because they're too high in cholesterol for being so tiny and I don't like their taste.

              >standard American dieter thinks he's vegan
Lol. Btw, which form of b12 were you consuming? How much algae was in your diet? There are strong indications in your post that you quit being "vegan" because of health complications. You were likely on a b12 deficient diet considering you refused the supplements, unless you were eating shit or algae. It takes 5 years to truly deplete, on average, so you weren't "vegan" for more than 5 years, which means your "10 years" is including your current shitty standard omnivorous junk food diet

                Anonymous

I'm a eurogay, not American. I got my B12 from daily energy drink, nutritional yeast and fortified plant milks. I did take algae based supplements for omega 3 and did eat algae just in general. I initially went vegan because I got horrible stomach aches, to the point I went to the emergency department. They thought I had appendicitis, but nope. So I went home and did an elimination diet, figured out that I didn't do well with animal products, especially dairy. I thought for over a decade that I'm lactose intolerant, but then I heard the A2vsA1 milk story recently and decided to try it, since they tested me last year and I'm not actually lactose intolerant. So I still basically eat vegan, unless I can get it straight from the farmer and verify it's A2 milk. Same thing with meat and fish. I don't do well with stuff from the supermarket and factory farmed stuff is highly unethical anyway.

I swear these study sites are the worst thing to happen to this board. Here let me break down how this study shows nothing because they gerrymandered the results to show what they wanted
                1. Weight loss causes a drop in cholesterol
                2. A low saturated fat diet causes reduction in cholesterol levels
                >Participants with prediabetes or T2D (n = 128) were prescribed a 3-mo daily energy restriction of 2.1 MJ and a macronutrient-matched diet and instructed on specific types and quantities of foods to be consumed, with an emphasis on replacing saturated fats with monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats.
Its literally right there own the study design, buy of course you didnt read it, because nobody does. They designed the diet so that even with high egg consumption it wouldn't show any issue because it was a diet lower in saturated fat than they were already eating, and it was a calorie restricted diet.

                I hate this board.

Agree with everything but sugar. In fact I think most points except maybe gluten, caffeine, red meat, and eggs, are commonly considered fine by the general public.
But sugar? No thanks. If you're eating carbs and starch and gluten and fruit like you're saying, maybe some honey too, you're good. No need for white refined sugar. None at all. It's an extremity that has nothing to offer you, eating some carbs before your workout and drinking coffee is perfect, if you think you're seeing a difference from refined sugar it's placebo effect.

There are perfectly healthy vegan people, and countlessly more unhealthy non-vegan people, but none of this argument is about that. It's about machismo "I'm a man cuz I eat meat" bullshit, so why does this board spin it's wheels on it? People so dogmatically tied to eating meat that they can't go a meal without it are just sheeps brainwashed by big meat. I eat meat but I also. Sometimes don't. Vegan complaints about animal conditions are 100% correct, and our slavery to factory farming is comical.

    Inb4:
    >I buy from the farmer

Great, but that's not a scaleable option, that's how we ended up with factory farming. The fact is y'all are all snowflake b***hes with diets that demand globalism. Bunch of weak MfS.
