I've always seen that comparison with biceps to show shitty insertions, but is that it? Where are the rest of the shitty insertions, its always the biceps!
Because biceps are the most iconic muscle. Anytime someone asks you to flex you don't show your quads, you do a front double bicep and people start feeling your arm.
calves are easily the most susceptible to this, more so than biceps imo. some people have super high gastroc insertions that make them seem tiny (see pic related) whereas some people's goes down forever and makes their calves look humongous and really long.
>and makes their calves look humongous and really long.
I have these. Literally the only body part I ever get complimented on and I've never trained them in my life.
Chest and abs are the most talked about and the most noticeable.
Biceps are just shit bodybuilders talk about because it matters at the highest level, and if you're talking about biceps insertions then you probably have good chest and abs. If your abs and chest look fricked up it's actually over.
It's like Survivorship bias, like someone asking ''why do all these planes get shot in the wings? why is it never motor and the wienerpit, it's always the wings''
Shitty triceps inserts(the worst) make your arm look like its missing muscles
Shitty lats make you look wider but your torso will be weirdly long
Bad ab inserts make your abs look like pellets or even zipper abs
Bad quads make your knees/legs look skinny even if you've built them
Shitty calves are shitty calves
Bad delts look like tennis balls on your shoulders and are out of proportion
Bad forearms inserts (second worst) end in the middle and leave an empty area of tendons for the rest of your forearms
Uhhhh why does this happen guise?
Do people like this take steroids?
Are roiders tendons and muscles not conditioned?
Did he not rest enough?
Was it an eggo lift?
he could technically be on steroids and it's just that his muscles developed faster than his tendons and he's ego lifting, but not necessarily so, preacher curls like that are just really bad for the tendons in general because they put extra strain on them at the bottom of the lift, since when you're fully stretched it still pulls down
Heavy preachers are one of the dumbest things you can do in the gym with full ROM. This can happen to anybody roids or not, preachers are meant to be light and frankly doing them with a straight barbell seems moronic too. Do them with dumbbells or a W bar so you aren’t stretching the tendon so much at the bottom with full supination.
Doesn't solve mixed dl tears. You gotta activate your chest and delts when curling, unless you're trying to do a few light on full stretch to strengthen tendons I guess.
Man I hit bench hard last like 2 months i have/had muscle tendon and joint soreness. I'd probably put on more weight not lifting 2 weeks and size after 1 week at heavier weight.
>my genetics suck, why am I so unlucky
Unironically.
I'm stronger than some dudes in my gym but they're still bigger than me and have bigger arms
Strength is neurological D:< god has a fricked sense of humor when guys twice my size bench the same as me
I must be fricking moronic
how do i neurologically get my strength gains?
You wouldn't know about short biceps since you're dyel anyway

the biceps aren't even the only one in the image.

I usually see tall people with higher calve insertions, biceps seem to change no matter height.

Chest is different though, most people have kinda shitty chest insertions so it makes it normal/acceptable to not have great insertions with chest.
triceps, lats, abs, quads, calves, delts, forearms

tl;dr bad inserts anywhere just make you look smaller by default
The opposite is a guy with full inserts everywhere that looks huge without lifting
it is so over
guy on the left has seo in his biceps. that's why they look like smooth, watery balloons while the rest of body is dry and grainy.
might seem like that when compared to cbum's garbage biceps
Left guy might have a shot to dethrone chris
what is even better
Mine take up the entire slab like left but I cant get them beyond 16.75
long makes your arm look a lot bigger when relaxed, short gives better peak but can be less aesthetic and looks small relaxed.
>heh, long-bicep chads stay win-ACCKK
wat
a fricking double tear holy shit

Or just be smart and use a preacher curl machine

I can almost put 3 fingers between my forearm and my bicep when flexed. I'm fricked aren't I ? I'm pretty dyel tho.
that is when flexed with fist facing shoulder, when I flex it like they do in the picture it fills out, but becomes more flat.
Why did they put the shitty tri insertions with the good biceps?
