Why do people call this lift and egolift of all things? You can't lift much on an ohp unlike with squats or deadlifts, or even a bench press which you can lift decent weight on.

OHP was my favourite lift by far before even making these threads so it wasn't much effort on my part, just changing my routine to always have it on Mondays.

You make me want to change mine to be Mondays, but Wednesday is OHP day. I do OHP on Monday too, but it’s lighter volume day. Heavy day is Wednesday 🙂

    I graduated into push presses.
I recommend it, it's much more violent and dangerous
speed running for that 2 plates overhead by any means necessary

Shoulder keeps clicking whenever I bring my left arm down below parallel with both barbell or dumbbells, any ideas ?
On the bright side 1pl almost went up yesterday after like 4-5 sets worth of fatigue

Hit 135 for 7/6/5 and then a 95lb drop set immediately after last set. Shoulders were on fire.

    >hit 1pl8 for 4 reps the previous workout
    >hyped up to finally hit x5 reps
    >fail after 4 on the first set
    >have to push press the 5th on the follow up set
I hope it was just a fluke and not a plateau, I'll give it another two workouts and I should hopefully hit 5 reps with strict form

Even though you had to push press the last one, you still got gains from it, plus all the gains from the first 4. I’m proud of you for improving, and having the humility to not count your push press as completing the set correctly. This means that you’re absolutely gonna make it. Eat a little extra and sleep well before your next OHP day and you got it:)

couldnt stand doing it when i started lifting 3 months ago because it cracked the frick out of my shoulder joints and i was perma stuck at 22.5kg, but after dropping it for other shit for a couple weeks, i tried it again yesterday and it felt amazing. shall be programming it into my routine immediately
