Has anyone here actually done the surgery? I've seen three different surgeons with three different surgical approaches to handle the issue, and I have no fricking clue which direction I should go.
I had surgery as a teenager, had a tit on my left side, never came back after getting my gland removed. They butcher my chest though, my nipple looks stitched on.

there is an indentation under the nipple, its not noticeable when relaxed however when tensed its very visible and kind of winks. modern surgery is alot better though, I had this done about 20 years ago and I'm in the UK so it was done on the NHS. Private surgeons dedicated to it will be a lot better.
See the most recent surgeon I saw was from a private practice and he straight up said he wouldn't offer the surgery to me and instead shilled some microneedle procedure. I don't know if it's genuinely just so minor that he doesn't want to do it (I personally feel it's very noticeable) or if there's some other reason.
i did the surgery ~10 years ago, had b-cup breasts that were ~90% gland tissue. best decision i've ever made, you can't even tell (no visible scarring) and most nipple sensitivity is back. strongly recommend anyone with real gyno to get it

There is no way to get rid of true gyno (and not just manboobs) without surgery. You can try to make it less visible, but not remove it. It is not just fat, men with gyno can potentially lactate and shit.
