Digestive enzymes actually work. Silver era guys used to all take them and I tried it and they're great. Bromelain is the most important once since it helps you digest protein more efficiently. If you get protein farts you're not digesting the food. You get that because whatever you ate entered your colon without being fully digested and absorbed. If you don't get gas you don't need enzymes.

      Bromelain is good, but lots of people are allergic to it. I know I am ;_;

is it true that bromelain makes your cum taste sweet? I heard it's the compound within pineapple that does that

I always laugh when I think of the morons that believe “fat burners” and “testosterone boosters” are legit. Only true fat burner I’ve ever heard of (forgot name) is some insanely dangerous experimental and illegal drug that can easily frick you up/kill you.

        HMB for cutting

The ultimate hospital approved method to not lose muscle while cutting
        >In that light, an effective
therapeutic regimen for preventing muscle decline over extended
hospitalization may involve a combination approach of using HMB
plus EAA (or a high quality protein source that provides EAAs) and
possibly vitamin D to effectively preserve muscle mass, strength
        and function.

HMB is a meme and doesn't actually work. The few studies that show it does are dubious at best.

Ok I've tested quite a lot, other than the obvious shit like creatine, zinc, magnesium and vitamins
    >Glycine
Immensely improves sleep quality, gives a feeling of calmness.
    >Boron
    Definitely boosts testosterone, libido, etc.
    >Iodine
    Surprisingly zero effect
    >Maca root
    Zero effect
    >L-Theanine
Mine comes also with L-Thyrosine. Noticeable difference, razor sharp focus and calmness.

      >Boron
      >Definitely boosts testosterone, libido, etc.

lol, extreme placebo effect. you aren't going to take any elemental supplement and feel that your testosterone and libido are "definitely" boosted unless you have a metabolic or genetic disorder.

Period. You have not figured out some super simple magical secret that ever man is missing out on.

        >take pill
        >feel more energetic
        >get more random boners during the day
I don't care if you call it placebo. I didn't feel any placebo when taking iodine or ashwagandha, even though I've heard much more about the latter two than boron.

          Anonymous

hearing about something translates into it not working in your placebo modeling system, because you value feeling like you discovered something.

      >boron
Yeah except Boron has reprod toxicity and specifically targets testes. I'll pass.

      >iodine
The deficiency gets you goiter, the excess does nothing

      >glycine
it's actually used as a sedative.

    Anyone here tried ZMA?

everyone here takes zinc and b vitamins and shit. ZMA is a brand name. avoid brand names, use base chemicals.

      Anonymous

Surprisingly effective. I take it before bed every night and have a much easier time falling asleep. It also feels like my sleep has gotten better, I casually wake up after only 7 hours of sleep fully rested.

        Anyone here tried ZMA?

Just make sure you also alternate zinc supplements with copper to prevent copper deficiency, and also don't take both at the same time as they also compete for absorption iirc

          Anonymous

Do not take copper unless you are supplementing an extremely high dose of zinc. It’s not needed and will harm you otherwise.

      Anonymous

      are all ZMAs the same?
myprotein says: Magnesium Citrate, Magnesium Oxide, Zinc Aspartate, Zinc L-Monomethionine
but how much of each? Like I heard mag oxide sucks

        Anonymous

Magnesium oxide is actually one of the best forms, it has myths about it due to being cheap so companies don't profit, has 23% bioavailability but high elemental magnesium per mg

      Anonymous

I take it for better sleep and super vivid dreams. If it's doing anything more than that then it's not enough for me to notice, but the better sleep alone is more than worth it for me.

The thing 99% of people fail to understand about testosterone supporting supplements is that they don't "boost" your testosterone, they just provide things that your body uses to produce testosterone naturally. So if you aren't deficient in any of those things to begin with then those supplements won't do anything. This is why they "work" for some people, I.E. people with absolute shit diets.

there isn't any "new hotness" in supplements. nothing is going to be discovered that makes much of any difference. humans can build muscle and survive 100 years on completely broken nutritional intakes.

If you don't get much sun vit D is a good one

Question, is it safe to take NAC and magnesium together?

  19. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

    >zinc
    >vitamin D3 + K2
    >magnesium
    >citrulline malate

Haven't tried anything else, all of these have been good for me. Zinc raises test, magnesium is good for joints and muscle aches, vitamin D3 is good for a plethora of things and vitamin K2 is good for heart and bone health because it makes sure calcium goes to bones instead of soft tissue like veins and organs. Especially when D3 raises calcium absorption by a large margin
