      I agree, tho I'm a former skelly. That probably helps. Also it's easy to maintain this mode once you're there and you dont have to starve yourself. I eat at least 3/3.5k kcals a day, just make sure you stay physically active

    Nutrition supplements are a pretty big scam alongside meal prep etc.

      This is unpopular but intriguing. Other pressing exercises hit the front delts. Lateral raises hit the sides. Rear delt flies for the rear. I’d like to see someone try this and see the results

        AD stands for anterior deltoid.

        A 30°, 45° and 60° degrees on the bench all have good AD activation. 60° i would more classify as a shoulder press, but 30°, 45° seem like great incline bench press inclinations that suffieciently target the anterior deltoid while also targetting the upper chest.

      Belts are absolutely necessary if you want to ensure proper bracing with heavier weights you havent lifted yet
      Still, it is ideal to be able to properly brace without a belt for any lift you do

      Gloves are shit for grip
      Straps are much better if you have to use something
      But again, better to develop natural resistance and grip

    Lifting for aesthetics and only aesthetics is gay, you should care about strength, athleticism, mobility, etc. as well
    Corollary, being able to squat 500 lbs but not do 10 pullups and 20 pushups and run a 6 minute mile is cringe, you need to be able to mog 80% of men at nearly all forms of fitness to be well-rounded (running 5K and below; you can be forgiven for being a bad swimmer since muscle makes you sink)
    Being a bodybuilder who gets out of breath going upstairs is more embarassing than being a fatty who does, because you demonstrably spend enough time in the gym to be fit

    Stretching is absolutely useless. It does nothing, it accomplishes nothing, and has helped nobody with nothing. Everyone who practices it does so from inertia, because "you are supposed to stretch". They don't know what even stretches (hint: not muscles, not ligaments and not tendons) and how that is in any way useful (it is not).

    Meanwhile it is touted as "the most important part of fitness", shilled to DYELs as "necessary", making them waste 45mins in each gym session, and to old people who have trouble getting up from the toilet as "the thing they need to regain quality of life - yoga/pilates".

    I'm talking, gradually turning a 5rm into a 15rm, by taking it to failure and using rest-pause or other techniques to add reps on

    You bounce back stronger, it's actually wonderful
    Everyone discovers this when they get sick for a while but people are too attached to the ritual of going to the gym to actually make a routine that includes 1+ week completely off for every 2-3 weeks training
