Now I see the whole lifting weights thing is just a thing insecure guys do to get validation, but they don't admit it and say they do it for themselves... bulllshit.
I've embraced TRUE fitness: running. Running is the only exercise your body is MEANT to do. Your body quickly disposes of excessive muscles, because it sees too much muscle as a waste of energy. We as humans evolved to be high endurance animals, from the very beginning our unmatched ability to run for a long period of time gave us an ungodly advantage over other species.
TL;DR: running is the final fitness redpill.(bodyweight stuff is also good)
>bodyweight stuff is also good
If you truly believed in your post you wouldn’t have said this. There is absolutely nothing natural about pushups or dips.
not push ups or dips, just pull ups.
Post most recent run. You gotta slow down. Give some time for that first timers runner’s high to wear off. I like running more than lifting too but don’t give up on lifting. Pro tip is to lift so that you can run more. Also you’re going to have to take rest day eventually might as well lift
You really don’t think it’s possible that some people lift weights for their own enjoyment and satisfaction? It’s pretty stupid to dismiss such a large group of people with a sweeping generalization like that. Try to engage a little more nuance in your thinking. Running is great, by the way. It’s the best way to develop athleticism and care for your long-term health.
if you truly transcended you'd have realized that the only solution is to do both
Well if the standard is autistically tracking everything and min maxing everything purely for the goal of “mogging” others then yea you’ve transcended. But I feel better when I have muscles and strong grip strength as while as being somewhat lean. To each their own I guess, for a lot of people putting on muscle is a building block for goal achievement so I don’t think autistically tracking everything is necessarily a bad thing
>Running is the only exercise your body is MEANT to do
Don't forget climbing trees and throwing rocks. We have rotational shoulder blades for this reason.
Yes, humans can outrun every animal on earth.
y'know what else is natural? carrying that heavy as fuck animal you hunted back.
y'know what else is natural? climbing trees and over various obstacles.
y'know what else is natural? throwing rocks and swinging branches.
so you better be supplementing your runs with deadlifts, pullups, ball tosses, and smacking a tree with a stick
>Running is the only exercise your body is MEANT to do.
Throwing, too. We are the only animal that can throw really good.
ive never met a humble rooner, they all seem like insecure gays trying to make up for their failures with over the top douchiness.
weight lifters on the other hand admit their faults and are trying to better themselves, I don't really think it's insecurity, it's a recognization that you could be better, there are cocky assholes that ego lift and are insecure, but so long as you're not that, weight lifting is less insecure than running by far.
look at you're post, I can already tell you're an awful person to be around.
>...your body is MEANT to...
lol, keep doing what you're "meant" to, pusst
his body will fall apart after 20 years of excessive running, just to be fit, not for hunting or anything, just routine shit for him. all his weight slamming down on his ankles and knees for miles, for years.
running makes my nose hurt really bad idk why
Walking a lot and bending over to pick up things is the most hunter/gatherer thing any human being can do, along with squatting and picking things up.
This reminds me of how Rippletits teaches you the RIGHT way to squat vs what your highschool gym teacher taught you, to use your back leaned over a little bit so you train it vs keeping your back straight and never progressively overloading it.
OHP and bench might be a bit of a stretch seeing as they aren't easily mirrored in daily cave man lifestyle, however you gotta work the arms somehow.
Lastly, riding a bike is a good compromise for runners. I know that everybody hates the road bike guys for being on the roads, but have you guys ever been a full retard road bike rider? shit is fun as fuck. You can gearfag all you want with hard parts, custom gearing ratios, carbon fiber etc. You can get comfy seats or stay out of the saddle. You can saddlebag the kitchen sink. You can even go full E-Bike. Or you can only ride on a fluid trainer with some paid service where you look at a TV and listen to a vegan. All of the above are better than running which we were never designed to do that often.
>He says this while posting a picture of a physique that's only achieved with lifting
The elites want you to believe you can’t do both
I do dislike bodybuilders but my goal is to run like goggins and be big like idk your mom
>We as humans evolved to be high endurance animals, from the very beginning our unmatched ability to run for a long period of time gave us an ungodly advantage over other species.
Not really, humans evolved to have a "simple" body and flexible mind. This means intelligence and being adapted to most environments with some little tweaks here and there that most of the time come from intelligence. Of course you've phenotypes, but serious changes have not ocurred, human bodies might've changed a lot depending on the area they live and with less dexterity.
This means the body is adapted to intelligence, not fitness.
Of course a caveman might've been stronger, more agile, but that was nothing compared to other animals. Even a robust individual's body is designed for their brain and not otherwise
Hitting your cavewoman wife is also natural.
Smelling armpits, picking your nose and eating it is also natural.
Sunning your balls is natural
hitting them has too many repercussions, we have evolved into just denying them what they want instead.
I always ahted lifted weights but the first time I did my first 2.30 jog I felt literally high. I maxed out at 2.43 miles in 30 minutes which is a massive milestone for me.I've lost 20 pounds in 1 month with diet and exercise (jogging) I feel at the literal peak of my mental and physical capacity for the first time. I was able to consistently jog at 5.5 miles an hour for 10 minutes for 3 days and I haven't been able to do it since though. I used to be a smoker. I wonder if this is effecting me.
This is great, really, it is great that you're doing this level of cardio. That is why you feel so good. However you will progressively impact overload your joints over time/distance so I implore you to consider cycling or fast walking instead. Run hard for a short period of time to get your running fix, but make the long haul cardio more sustainable on your body. There's no reason for the human body to run 2-3 miles daily or even weekly. The stronger you train your legs with weights, the easier and longer you can run by default.
But I loose the most weight running....
I thought people in the military jog 2.30 miles every day in basic? Should I just average out and do 2.0 in 30 minutes? I want joggging to be the largest portion of my routine. I already hit the bike for 15 - 20 minutes and the stairmaster for another 10.
I don't do a solid jog either. Like I said I ahven't been able to replicate my 10 minute sprint recently, but, I cycle between 1 - 2 minutes of running at 5.0 - 5.5 and 1 - 2 minutes of walking at 4.0. I'm still kind of big and I want desperately to loose weight. My job also involves tons of steppage in a day and the thought of it wearing me down through impacting is kind of scary though, ngl. I work in a bullet factory and we move pretty hard for 12 hours.
