>encourage them to put more weight on the bench until they fail >once they cant pull the bar out of the chest you laugh at them instead of helping >after it act like you are cringing too much about his failure to talk to him
bullying people who make an effort to improve themselves is a certified subhuman move.
how about pick one NYRer and make him your protege instead? The rest will mostly leave by themselves eventually
People just getting into fitness are so incredibly bluepilled about physiology its unreal. There are unironically still people who think you can "turn fat into muscle" and a "routine" is what will get you shredded.
Newsflash incels: looking good is literally 90% diet. You could literally pick any routine that has you doing 3 working sets for any body part and look good in a year if you ate right.
You don't look like shit because of your "routine", you look like shit because you eat like shit and don't track your calories
me and my buddy are just gonna keep slammin down them weights, screaming at each other after every set to intimidate newbies. We'll spread our gym bags, belts, waterbottles etc. over several racks to ensure only us two can use them. if there are any girls, you can be sure there'll be a LOT of catcalling and whistling going on, but hey, it comes with the territory. Anyone who so much as touches a treadmill will be relentlessly mocked and have powdered chalk thrown over them.
This. Might be an american thing. I have been lifting for 10 years and literally never seen any increase in gym members in form of new years resolutioners. If something Im thinking I may see more people running and trying to lose weight outside but it could also be a little longer into Jan/feb when ice and snow starts melting so it's not necessarily new years resolutioners either, it's just more convenient to run outside.
It's been an issue in my euro gym but only among millenial sunhumans
In January you will see a lot of of overweight office rat type people who come in, do the dumbest shit and are gone within 2 weeks
The more acute problem is the fricking zoomer or even younger plague. They appear out of nowwhere, you come into the gym one day and suddenly the barbell racks are swamped by skelels who either shout when one of them is doing something with suicide form or just stand around with their phones and just stink of old unwashed sweat
They are too gone within 3 weeks but are replaced by new idiots at random intervals
Usually more frequent around summer
It has to be. I've gone to three gyms and every New Years it is an influx of people.
The only reason I get frustrated is when all these people just leave their shit around and improperly using a machine instead of asking for some assistance or advise. >New Year 2022 >heading to Lat Pulldown machine >person is there >using it like a cable triceps extension with the lat bar >there are cables literally adjacent to it that aren't occupied >only instance I have where I actively tell a guy to stop and please use the cable with the appropriate bar and walk him through setting it up
>approach dyels benching >ask if you can do a set between >load on x3 their weight >finish set >leave weights on and walk away >watch them take your weights off
I dunno how it is with actual january, haven't been to the gym for more than a year, but the current ramp up of membership hasn't really affected me. Even when everything else is crowded up I'm not competing for the power rack with anyone except other regulars. All I have to worry about is people doing dumb shit near me.
And it seems like the beginner crowd just straight up don't spend any time actually lifting. It's busy for 20 minutes, then they're gone, then suddenly the place is swamped for 20 minutes, then they're gone. It's like a flash mob or some shit.

Hi resolutioner
This. We all have to start somewhere.
don't be a homosexual and choose NYD to start
you can just do it tomorrow
>OP is posting again
dunno man, suck all of their wieners, leaving them drained and weak
you dont, theyll stop coming around jan 14th
How do we bully OP to make sure he don't come back on this board

I mean
>turn fat into muscle is somewhat true
You just use the excess calories to help build muscles assuming you are a lard ass and not skinny fat
Your body only uses fat stores when in a caloric deficit moron
Misread your statement anon

Follow them home and burn their house down
i wanna go in straight to benching 2p8 to demoralize them
it's a meme and has never really been a problem in my gym

I'm going to deadlift 300 kilograms while grunting like an ape.

I know I shouldn't get upset when I see this, but I do every time.

They bully themselves. No outside stimulus required. Even if you try and help their insecurity overwhelms any positive emotions.
